For storage, it's packed with a 500 GB hard drive at 5400 RPM. Comes with 4 GB DDR3L as default, Dell makes it possible for users to upgrade it up to 8 GB.

Received delivery March 30, 2015; so far, so good. For a basic model, it's fast, quiet and more than adequate for this non-gamer who pretty much sticks to browsing, storing and managing Word Doc files and photos. Another positive feature was its lean content, not much junk ware to bog down the action and the battery is relatively long lasting. While some critics decry Windows 8.1, this user really enjoys the tile-and-touch screen combo and finds it quick and flexible. One can arrange the tiles to accommodate his or her personalized use of the laptop in a quick and efficient fashion.

I could do an in-depth review of this machine but --- suffice it to say that it's a real good machine for the money. If you know what you "want" your computer to do and this one does it, you'll probably give it five stars. If, on the other hand, you were expecting the performance of a machine costing 3 times the money, then you'll be hard pressed to give it greater than 1 star. Nothing really outstanding here, but nothing really lacking either.
