Way too touch sensitive for me

This computer is way too touch sensitive for me. Instead of using a mouse, I have been using the touch pad. Sometimes I barely touch the pad or I rest my wrist on the computer and will lose what I am working on. Poof. Gone. I have to start again. It is especially frustrating when I am working on a graphic design project in Photoshop, and I am having to repeat a function to complete the command. Or I will open a layer in Photoshop, go to save the file, and the layer closes before I have a chance to save. Ugh. This is my first Dell which was recommended by my tech guy. I have not had this issue with the HP or the Acer computers I previously owned. I will have to go back to the mouse. Maybe that will stop the sensitivity issue. But in the meantime, I am not that happy with this purchase.
