5 stars so far, but don't trust what I have to say unless this post is over 6 months old.

I needed a new laptop, and as a power user I wanted a newest-generation intel i7. My only other need was a touchscreen, since I develop mobile apps and it just makes things easier to have a touchscreen for development.

My budget was around $1000, and I found a few decent choices there. But some had last-gen processors, while others had screen resolutions of just 1366x768, and some only had 4gb of ram (my PHONE has that much already). I was prepared to move up to around $1200 to get everything I needed.

Then I found this!! I've been burned by refurb's before, but with amazon's great return policies and a price that was about HALF of it's retail cost, I went for it.

No regrets at all! For < $700 this is an AMAZING computer.
PROS:
+Processor is SO fast. Even with just the built-in graphics games and everything else look great.
+Nice backlit keyboard.
+Great selection of ports (2x USB3.0, 1x USB2.0, HDMI, combined headphone/mic, SD card slot
+Included stylus is nice, but I've really only used it to doodle.
+Weight distribution is surprisingly balanced in both laptop and tablet modes.
+Great size - I love the way I can hold it in one arm very securely - but I'm a slightly-larger 6-ft tall guy.. smaller hands may find it a bit too big.
CONS:
-The touchpad!!!! First, it's got weird sensitivity issues where it doesn't detect very small or slow movements all the time. The fact that the buttons are also part of the touchpad leads to the mouse moving every time I try to click on something. There are no configuration options I can find for it, aside from the Windows Cursor settings.

You know the scene from Office Space where the guys finally get the chance to annihilate the fax machine? I am SO eager for the day I can do that to my new Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 notebook (model 7347), and get a non-Dell replacement. I really wish I had done some homework before making this purchase, but I instead just waltzed into a Staples, picked one I liked and took it home. You know, the old fashioned way.

This laptop is now 2 months old, and the issues began just 1 month after purchase. For some background, it hasn’t left the house since I got it. Never been put into a bag and transported, never had a coffee cup sitting on top of it, never been dropped, run over, flooded or thrown against a wall as it so rightfully deserves. A month in, a vertical “ghost touch” would randomly begin on the right side of the screen, literally hi-jacking whatever I was working on. Clicking ads, closing emails I was writing, opening applications, zooming, even restarting the computer. Sometimes it won’t allow me to even use the mousepad to direct the cursor. Thankfully, I haven’t been forced into buying something because of it, yet. (knock on wood) After taking the problem to the ‘net, I discovered this problem is not at all unique – IT IS A DESIGN FLAW. The lid is just simply not ridged enough for this lightweight computer, so the touch screen gets pressed in simply by CLOSING THE LID. Do you ever close the lid on your laptop? Here’s a forum link where this is discussed, which includes a video where you can see it for yourself. (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19607216)

I learned it can be temporarily remedied by gently flexing the screen by hand but, in my experience, it will return randomly.

Only had it for a couple of days now, Has the refurbished sticker on the bottom but looks and works like new so far. The Description on the item from the 2 sellers is a bit off but I received the item I was expecting dell 13.3 7348 with the 5200u, etc. Will update after I've had it for a while.

This is a great computer for the price.

I've had some bad luck with laptops recently and this laptop is a refreshing change. It's touchpad is responsive, there is virtually no lag even with 10 plus chrome browser tabs open which is a genuine bonus.

The screen is top notch. Bright vibrant. It's honestly as good looking as my 4k samsung tv though of course with lesser resolution. It has exceptional viewing angles which is important in slate mode. It is highly reflective so outdoor use is impaired but it's smooth surface is excellent for a touchscreen. As other reviews have mention the screen feels a little flimsy and you can bend it with a little force but it springs back and it's nothing too dramatic and seems to be about on par for a laptop in this price range.

The i5 has enough shaders to run quite a few older games at 30fps. The single vent on the bottom get's pretty hot on the bottom when running games if you have it on your lap.

The sound quality of this laptop is average. It's loud enough to watch a netflix movie even with some ambient noise. I have a window unit air conditioner that's rather loud near my bed and it hasn't been a problem. The sound is rather thin as you'd expect from small speakers but it's acceptable but you'll probably want to use headphones for movies.

This is a refurbished laptop so there were a couple of superficial scratches on the bottom which will bum out people who need a new device to be in mint condition. The lid, screen cover and keyboard were in like new condition which is what's important to me.

Ironically this laptop comes with a recovery disk but lacks a dvd rom drive. I imagine you could rip the disk to ISO and mount it to a usb flash card if you really needed to use it.
