Before I bought this model, I saw the ad and I knew instantly this is what I've been looking for. This is an awesome machine. Sleek, Powerful, Premium Looks and in incredibly long battery life. Laptop design, fit, and finish are superb. Extremely quiet - if any noise at all. It’s also light weight. Cannot believe this is a refurbished model. Mine is really new and I love it!

Beautiful machine - looks and performance

This refurbished computer is astoundingly beautiful. The exterior is gorgeous - no nicks, scratches, etc. The display is so crisp - unlike any computer I've used before. It is very fast - no surprise there since it does have a beefy 8gb ram and i7 processor. However, I just received the machine today so I haven't really run too many things at once on it nor anything too demanding. I do play Portal occasionally, so I will update this review once I've gotten some more hours in on this wonderful beast.

The form factor, display, aesthetics, keyboard, and mouse (pinch zoom, two-finger-scroll, etc) are all extremely reminiscent of the Apple MacBook. I have great respect for Apple, but I would never get a MacBook because I am a PC person. I have great respect for Dell, for being able to transfer some of MacBook's lovely attributes to this machine. Now, you can have a PC that looks just as good as a MacBook.

Windows 8 OS will take some getting used to - however, I'm fine with not getting too familiar with it since Windows 10 is coming out in just a few days. Free upgrade baby! Excited for the new OS. Windows 8 is obviously a little awkward, but isn't as bad as I thought. Coming from using Windows 7 for a while, it is different. I could see the purpose in these new "metro" apps, as well as the more supposed user-friendliness of the OS.

Enough rambling - I can't believe I only spent $650 + tax on this beautiful machine. Sometimes I actually wonder if refurbished is better not just for the price, but also because it's more "handmade" with having gone through repair, inspection, repair, inspection, etc. Thank you Dell for this PC (and husband, who paid for it!)

has really good color representation

I have to preface this review by saying that I'm a photographer, not a gamer.

So, it's a dual-core processor - you probably don't want to play Call of Duty on it. I'm not a gamer, so I haven't tried, but I just really doubt it has the horsepower to keep up with your friends.

I do photography and light CAD (no rendering), and so mostly got it for the display. The 1920x1080 IPS is just gorgeous, has really good color representation. It also has a touchscreen, which I haven't figured out how or why I'll use it, but it's there. Processor is plenty for what I need, and a 1TB drive is a lot for the average person.

802.11ac wireless is a big bonus if you move big files around a network (or between computers) but you'll also have to upgrade your router, and for web surfing it's not really necessary.

My one big beef is the keyboard. The backlight is nice at night, but in the day the gray-on-silver text is really difficult to read I wish they had used a different color LED for the backlight (red, blue, anything) to make the keys more visible.

I was looking for a laptop with good processor and graphics
performance, while also having a long battery life at a decent price.
When I saw this product on the dell website, I was amazed and knew
that I found what I was looking for after months of searching.
Overall, the computer performs very well and I am satisfied with this
refurbished laptop.

good ips display Cons

Pro : Stylish looking, silent fan, good ips display

Cons : This product is refurbished and I understand what that means. As description says, there would some limited wear and I can buy it.

Actually, this product shows several ( more than 10 appx) scratches around the machine and it's ok to me. However, there is a deep and very noticeable mark on the back plate. It's just not a scratch. I think it is damaged plate. Please check my review and replace the back plate if you want to sell it again to other customer.

Also, as other customer or many reviewer mentioned, AC-7260 WIFI is very unreliable module. I've tested several places including my home and it keeps disconnecting or can't even get wifi signal. Some reviewers said it works fine but some others are not. It's not this machine's fault. Anyway, WIFI didn't work properly in my case.

Lastly, there is one dot on the top right corner and it's not removable. I think you guys need to disassemble the display and remove it.

Overall, this machine has good looking and nice features, but I think I was unlucky since I got a damaged one, so im going to return it.
