One awesome laptop!

Recently bought this laptop and am in love with it! It is superfast, especially when viewing cached websites (like those you frequent the most). Windows 8.1 isn't that bad now that you can select to boot to the desktop. That makes it much easier for me! I love that an optical drive was included. The backlit keys are useful, unlike the previous poster mentioned. I find they're illuminated enough that I don't have to use the screen to show me the keys (which I suppose is their purpose). The screen is big and beautiful! The touch feature is incredible without the wobble others have. Often with clients, they will point and touch something, and this interacts with them, often by surprise which wows them! The case is aluminum and doesnt show fingerprints at all, which keeps it looking professional. Its a bit heavy, but for a machine of this caliber, you aren't going to find one much lighter. Its become my everyday work and home PC. You'll love it!

Good computer, bad keys

The computer works well has a lot of capacity. My issue is that the keys are almost impossible to see the letters and numbers/words on them. They have silver keys with an almost invisible cut out which is see through so during the day it's hard to see. Then at night, there is a little light underneath the keys to illuminate the keys but it's so faint that it's also hard to see. If you use it in the proper position, I can't see what's on the keys. You have to actually tilt the computer up towards you in order to see what's on the keys. It's very annoying.

This is a very bid laptop. Screen and speed is very nice. However, I don't like the feel of the mouse pad and the spacing of the keyboard. The mouse pad is the grainy type that feels like you are rubbing sandpaper. The keyboard is a bit squishy and sometimes it is hard to find backspace and etc.
Though, most other laptops have the same type of bad keyboard layout and buttons.
I kept it because it is hard to return laptops and computers. Read return policy really carefully. There could be a 15% restocking fee.

I wish I can give it 4 & 1/2 stars, because the touchpad like others have said really does suck haha. But with that aside, this is a fine piece of machinery. It's heavy, but I really do like the metal look of the laptop. It boots up quite fast. I also do some video editing work using Sony Vegas, so far it's been working fine on this machine, even with other applications running on the side. The screen has a glare, but it doesn't bother me.
