seriously. i just can't. i can't tell you how much i love this computer, and how relieved i am by this purchase. it's sleak and sexy, with a beautiful display, and it worked perfectly right out of the box.the processor speed is not blazing but more than adequate for taking care of your emails and your bills, playing on Facebook, watching Netflix, and sharing cat videos. PROS: 1. the touch screen! works perfectly, really. and it makes windows 8 bearable. the start menu and all those apps are designed for touch screens, and it makes navigating through them easy. 2. blutooth. i wanted to be able to wirelessly connect to my blutooth speakers, but didn't realize it can also connect to my phone and allow files to be sent between the laptop and other devices. sweet. 3. optical drive. didn't by this laptop to use as an entertainment center but wanted the option of watching videos and burning cd's. it ripped it burned it played dvd's, all perfectly. the tray is very fragile feeling, and i'm sure i'll break it eventually, but until then very cool. 4. battery life. dude. six hours of moderate use. CONS: 1. the speakers do kinda suck, they're adequate, but hey blutooth. 2. no back lit keys. it wasn't one of my priorities, but I kinda wish I would have put it on the list. I got one of those USB bendable LED lamps and it works great in dim light. but that back lit keyboard yo. 3. the touch pad is a little twitchy but it's cool. the touch screen is really convenient for a lot of commands. all in all i could not be happier with this laptop. a great value and a great laptop.

Fast Processing Power

This laptop exceeds my expectations. Dell is a pretty reliable brand from my experience. The touch screen is nice, the processing power is adequate, and the display is nice and big. I thought the price was fair considering Notebooks are going for around the same.

I will say it has crappy sound! Even on 100 you can hardly hear ...

I will do a touch and go review, because I haven't fully played with it yet. I have tried to do a few things, but the first thing I noticed was it didn't have sound, I checked the sound settings and it was set to 68, so I turned it up to 100. On that note, I will say it has crappy sound! Even on 100 you can hardly hear it, and it sounds like its coming from a plastic container and only 1 speaker. I also threw in an audio CD, only for the computer to tell me, "Unrecognized format". LMAO, a computer/laptop that can't play a normal audio CD. Total fail, I don't know why I even gave it 3 stars, I guess maybe because I plan on using this with work and won't travel much (hopefully). Basically, this will be a temp / backup laptop once I get a better one.

Also, Maxproductsales has this listed as NEW. It is not the newest model of this computer, this one is about 1 year old, they have a new version of this computer out now!

:UPDATE: I changed my mind on 3 stars. The mouse pad is too sensitive, and just the fact that this is the first computer/laptop that I have ever seen that can not play a simple Audio CD, simply sucks! I have had the windows update install fail on one file, and now crashes when I try to see updates. The computer is slow as well. Really gets me mad, because I just wasted 95 bucks on an 8gb memory card, hopefully this will improve some of the slowness.

:UPDATE: I have now taken the level of stars to just 1 star. Several reasons why, after doing the initial windows update, it will no longer load any updates needing, it just sits there trying to load. I tried doing a "DELL UPDATE" to see if I could get the CD Audio to finally play, and all it does is sit there "CONNECTING" nothing happens.Read more ›

Don't love windows 8

Got it to use illustrator, photoshop and browse the internet in general. I didn't want to spend tons of money on a Mac so I decided to find a powerful computer on a budget and I think I found it. Don't love windows 8.1 but it's just a matter of getting use to it. The touchscreen works very nicely. Definitely a good find.
