I wanted a tablet to play on when I wasn't in the office and take with me on vacation. My parents have an ipad and I had given thought to purchasing the same but really didn't want to spend that type of money on something I didn't want to worry about losing. Also, I love tech and find I purchase things and then tire of them and don't use them. So to be safe I purchased this tablet. It had a good 5 MP camera in the front, fast enough processors and was running the same operating system as my Samsung phone and my phone is lightening fast... so ... I too the chance. I LOVE THIS TABLET! It does everything I need it to do. The look is sleek, the processors are fast, multi-tasking on it is a breeze. Everything I needed was in the box and I was able to purchase a bluetooth keyboard and case for it ... ALL for less than $200.

As a matter of fact, I was so pleased with it. When my mom saw it she said, "I'd like to have one of those so you dad and I don't have to share the ipad", so I bought another one for her for Mother's Day.

Now, for the service I received from Amazon ... it was top notch. The first tablet I purchased came with some glass I had also ordered. The glasses I ordered were shattered because the package had been treated rough on it's way here. I went ahead and opened the tablet and it looked perfect but all the abuse had caused the screen to be so dark your couldn't see it clearly, so I called Amazon. I had my money refunded and I ordered another table to replace the first ALL within 1 week. That's fast service Amazon and I appreciate it. Because Amazon treated me so well, I had no fear in buying another for my parents.

Great budget tablet, features get better as prices plummet

First, do NOT expect this to be an iPad. Next, don't think that the Dragon Touch M10X is a piece of junk - it is a budget tablet with some high end features that used to be only available on $300-$400 tablets. This is a great value, and I can't see why people spend tons more on tablets that are, frankly, only slightly better (if that).

The M10X has two features that are perfect for my intended uses:

(1) USB thumb drive storage (I play 32GB of movies on a tiny external drive)
(2) Bluetooth (I use primarily for speakers and headphones)

My major tests are playing movies and music, and exploring the world with Google Earth and Google Maps (local street view). The video I've posted with this should give you an idea how everything works. In fact, consuming media on this standard Android (KitKat) tablet is probably what it does best.

Note that this does not have Gorilla Glass so you should maybe invest in a screen protector, and at least treat it nice. I have 3 and 4 year old cheap knockoff tablets I'm still using because I treat them well. This is NOT, by design, indestructible. That being said, it has a very solid feel. The wide bezel is nice for holding. The speakers are like ALL tablet speakers, a bit under powered, though I found them perfectly serviceable. My preferred use is with a Bluetooth speaker, a feature I tested and found pairing to work perfectly.

I also have to note that this is one of the first tablets I've been sent for review that had ZERO bloatware. I didn't get all sorts of extraneous stuff installed in advance. I had to install Google Earth (free and worked awesome) and Google Street View (free and worked awesome).Read more ›

I can make this review short - This tablet is my third tablet, and I'm amazed, day after day, at how far superior this tablet is to anything I have ever had my hands on. The display has great color, and keeps up nicely with fast action movies. The detail is very crisp! The functionality is very intuitive, which helps anyone that does not like to review users manuals. (Who does?) It has downloaded the dozens of apps that I have purchased, flawlessly, quick, and it streams nicely. It connected to my home network, easily and immediately, and connecting earphones and other devices is just as easy and quick. The keyboard and case I got are amazing. I have charged the keyboard a couple times, but only because it had been weeks since it was charged. It appears to go forever on a charge... The keyboard is one of the best I have ever used, it is a FINTIE. Odd name, but it works great, and it is super sturdy.
As a comparison, I have a Samsung Note 3 for a phone/phablet. The user interface is cumbersome and I tend to learn new things accidentally, and long after purchasing the phone. The user interface on this tablet is soooooo easy. There are not a lot of levels, and it is so much faster when using Wi-Fi than my Samsung is on Wi-Fi. It is sometimes the difference between lightening fast on this tablet, and finally giving up when using the Samsung.
The price on this is phenomenal, when you see the quality and functionality of this tablet. I often say wow when using it, after owning it for months. I have had absolutely no problems, and I have been delighted with how well it functions, and how great the display looks. These displays have come a long way in the last couple years.
