This saved my Laptop. Terrible first design, but this fixed the problem. Even with the top part having some broken screw anchors on the ends still, this holds the display brackets on perfectly, and there are enough screw brackets on my top piece towards the middle that hold it together fairly well, so it's not really noticeable. So glad this was available, and the best price I found was here are Amazon!!! Thanks!!!

Has the hinge mount reinforcement plates, something Toshiba failed to install.

Bought this for a client's Toshiba C655D-S5303 that had both hinges broken off from the bottom cover. New cover arrived and was exactly the same as the old cover, even included extras like mounting tabs and those little grey cushions for the motherboard. Swapping over parts was easy and the screen now opens/closes properly. This new bottom cover did come with the hinge mount reinforcement plates.

Toshiba base cover

The new replacement base cover was better made than the original one with reinforcement metal where the display hinges screw to the base. Worked perfectly and was shipped in a timely manner and packaged very appropriately.
