The touchpad is sort of sticky - doesn't track your movements very well. Was delivered very quickly though.

~Update (10/3/2014)~
Only a couple of weeks into using this laptop, I noticed that the startup speed decreased dramatically. There have also been a lot of issues with the wifi software. Occasionally, it will freeze and drop a connection with no way of accessing it from the taskbar. I've had to manually go into the control panel and open up the Network and Sharing Center many times to reconnect and occasionally I've had to restart my whole computer. Another thing I've noticed is that since this laptop is only 15 inches, the keyboard can be difficult to use for gaming since the key spacing is much closer. However, I have not experienced any lag when playing games such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive or Civilization V. My previous laptop was an HP dv7t which had a much brighter screen so that was slightly an issue for me. Another issue with the trackpad is that since it's designed so that if you click anywhere on the left side of the trackpad it left clicks and right click anywhere on the right side it right clicks, you can't move the mouse and click at the same time. This can be an issue in a lot of video games. Also, the right and left clicks don't always register so I often find myself having to click something multiple times. Simply tapping on the touchpad to click also frequently does not register.

There's a more than a couple of problems with the laptop. I have contacted HP support but they have not been helpful. The battery drains in less than 1hr:30min on power saver mode, lowest brightness, and little to no activity.

The machine takes more than 5 minutes to start up. Waking up from sleep is also very lengthy.

The screen is blurry/fuzzy even with full brightness.

Touch-pad is defective and unresponsive.

Given the computer specs, it should be able to run video games. It cannot even run a simple, low requirements PC game without freezing, lagging, hang ups etc.

Lock-ups, crashes while browsing the Internet.

I really wanted to love this computer, given the description, but it is defective and unusable.

This laptop has great hardware specifications, only to be destroyed by a lack of wireless card. Not literally, but unfortunately, in terms of practicality! If you are looking to use this laptop on the go, or anything but being connected with an ethernet cable, you MUST BUY AN EXTRA WIRELESS CARD...Also, the wireless card that comes within (i believe a realtek product) has no bluetooth on it, a super outdated feature.

Overall, satisfied with it, however get ready to pay some extra $$$ (about $50 in my case) to have an external wireless adapter.

It's a very good laptop, especially for the price I paid (got it on Warehouse Deals for $471). Plays games like Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite, Elder Scrolls Online and Elite Dangerous at mostly High settings, but can't max out, which is fine by me because those games look fantastic at those settings. It can be overclocked (at your own risk of course), but the best I've seen is about a 5 fps increase.

Not a big fan of the power and headphone jacks being on the right side, but that's no big deal really. It is pretty light, definitely more so than my old laptop from a few years ago. Only real drawback is the lack of a disk drive, but you can get an external one if you really want, so once again it's not really a big deal.

Great for the price, I won't need to upgrade for a while. Not super high end, but that's not what I was looking for anyway. I definitely recommend it.

There is a lot to like on this machine and only a few things keeping it from a five star rating. The machine is fast and light and reasonably priced (~$800). The only negatives are the inability to create a backup boot disk (you can do it once with HP's 'special' program), this is a big negative and a small negative for the beats sound system. I'm not a big fan of beats and it only gets in the way. I use a dragonfly extrernal DAC and high-end hedphones so I'd just prefer to save the cost and the software overhead of the beats system. Does anybody really think the sound will be good from the speakers on a laptop? It was nice to find a machine that was still running Windows 7.
