Certainly there is a possibility that someone received a bad product but there are a couple of things that you need to know about this product that most people don't realize about this or laptop batteries in general.
The first thing is that this is a 9 cell battery. The standard for these Dell laptops is 6 cells. Therefore it is bigger and will appear not to "fit." What it does is out the back about an extra half inch. Unless you have a very tight fitting laptop bag, there is absolutely no negative to this.
The other thing to know is that all batteries need to be "seasoned" so to speak. You should run your battery through its full cycle a couple of times when you first get it. That means running the battery all of the way down and then recharging it. When you first put your battery in, the sensor may indicate that it is fully charged but until you run it through a couple of cycles you shouldn't think that your meter is accurate.
Currently, if I'm playing games heavily this battery will last about two hours. But if I'm doing normal web browsing and word processing, the battery is good for 4-5 hours. Your activities will play a great role in how long the battery lasts.

Meets Expectations

I've been stuck on a charger for about 6 months and it was really nice to finally have a battery. Dealing with a laptop shutting off was the worst if the cord managed to be unhooked or slipped out. This 9 cell battery really met my expectations and keeps me a lot more movable with sitting in the living room with my family instead of being stuck near a plug in my room. The battery allowed me to be mobile again with a laptop instead of feeling like I'm stuck on a small desktop.The life of the battery lasts a good number of hours.and I definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap battery that doesn't want to dish out 80 to 130 dollars from the dell website.

Battery would not recharge

The battery was purchased to replace original Dell Inspiron 1545 6 cell battery. The new 9 cell replacement battery fit fine and came charged. The laptop worked fine but would not recharge. Original Dell AC adapter/charger worked fine but would not recharge the battery which I used down to 5% charge when it shut down the laptop. Aibocn(seller) customer service was good at setting up the return and refund of the battery purchase, but I would of much rather had a solution and a working, chargeable battery.

The battery on my Dell Inspiron laptop died a slow death. I had been told that it would be better to simply replace the computer rather than attempt to replace battery (my Dell is nearly +5 years old). Finally, my dear computer would not work unless it was plugged in. Why I didn't think to look on Amazon for a replacement before is beyond me. I found this battery and ordered it. Once I charged it, I was informed (by my computer) that I also needed a new charging adapter. I ordered that the following day and now that I have both pieces, my computer charges like new. Thanks!

Actual Capacity of battery is 5400mAh

On battery it says 7800 mAh
Internally the battery says its 2000mAh per battery, so 6000mAh for laptop battery
but measured capacity at just over 1800mAh per battery, to give you an actual capacity of 5400mAh laptop battery

i repeat the actual capacity of laptop battery is 5400mAh,
not terrible for the pricing and the quality of the cells are good.
