Second time's a charm

When the "first" battery arrived it was defective and would not charge. I contacted the seller and they offered to replace it and did so. The second one arrived and it worked fine. However, I had to pay to ship the old one back at my expense. I offered to dispose of it but the seller insisted I have to ship it back. This of course resulted in greater expense and hassle for my purchase. I would not recommend this seller for that reason.

It is Amazon Issue!

The battery in my hp dv7 died. So I go to Amazon type "replacement battery for Hp dv7" a few choices come up. I checked the 'one click buy" and two days later get the battery. Well it does not fit my laptop! It is 10 and half inch long - while the battery in my laptop is only 8in long.
Now dv7 is dv7 and of course the picture looked the same. And there was NO warning - no indications of any size difference anywhere in the product description above. Yes Amazon has great return policy etc. but that is not the issue. You have wasted my time and now I am out of use of my business computer for another week - the INCONVENIENCE is not acceptable. For replacement parts there must be more info required and or presented to the customer.

Perfect fit for my HP dv7 Laptop

Not only did it fit perfectly it also is taller than the standard battery which lifts the back of the laptop providing extra cooling and also makes the keyboard a bit easier to use when using it on a hard, flat surface. Only time will tell if the battery holds up, I figure for the money if I get 2 or more years out of it I'll be extremely happy. Also, my laptop recognized it as an extra capacity battery and it charged it to 100%. I've run it on battery for over 2 hours and it only drained it to 70% remaining. (I do turn down the contrast/brightness when possible to extend battery life.)

Battery did not comply to Suppiers Claim

After going through the proceedure to Charge the battery, The Battery indicator on my laptop said it was fully Charged. i disconnected the battery and the indicator would indicate only 45% charged. I discharged the battery completely and went through the same sequence with same results. Now the Battery will only indicate being charge only to 49%. it will not charge any higher then that. I am totally unhappy with this replacement battery.

Finally a battery that lasts!

Have had this battery for about two months and i just have to say it does last twice as long, did a number of tests that prove it but the one test that i loved is that i sometimes take my laptop to work and i play music at full volume with screen brightness all the way up and it lasts about 4 hours and 30 minutes give or take, would definitely recommend and the space on the bottom makes sure it never overheates!
