Great Value Small Electronics Tool Set

If you are going to do any kind of work with small electronics, especially with smartphones, I definitely recommend this set. Unfortunately I have replaced the digitizer screens on a couple of iPhones using the cheap tools that ship with them. Something that should have taken about an hour took me several. With these tools I was able to replace the screen on the last iPhone under an hour and I owe it to better tools. The magnetization of these tools is perfect. The cheap tools I was using before could not hold a tiny screw and washer to the head of the screw driver thus making a simple task extremely frustrating.

This set includes every possible attachment you could ever need to repair a smartphone. Though I have only played with the flexible attachment it seems rather handy and definitely could come into use in the future. The only issue I have run into were the tweezers. They bent when I was trying to pry the screen from the base. This may have been an error on my part (screen may not have been completely ready to be removed) and if I need to replace the tweezers I can grab a set of tweezers being sold at the DollarTree for $1.

The overall quality of these tools is great. I'm sure there are plenty of higher quality tools out there but for the price you can't find a better set.

Pretty nifty set of tools, very tiny

I just received it, that is, the 38 piece preceision set. It sells on amazon as "Precision Screwdriver Set". The actual box that comes says, "Telecommunication Tool Set."

I don't work in Telecom, nor am I an engineer. I will only use a couple of these little tools when I change the thermal paste on my gpu.

Cons: They do kinda look cheap. The tips on most of them are phenomenally small. I could imagine them breaking or bending if used with too much force. The only other Con was that when it came, all the pieces had fallen out of the little rack. Easy to put them back, though I had to figure out which ones went where.

Pros: The big handle on the right (yellow and black) is like a drill bit on a power drill. It screws to latch on to the different bits. The bits themselves are in racks, and there is a latch that lets them spring into straight up so you can grab it easier. Very impressed with this. Even more impressed, on the top right you can see a black connection. It's magnetic and turns all the bits magnetic if you want. The other really cool thing is the third tool from the left. It's a bit that goes into the black and yellow main handle. It has a metal core but its flexible and you can use it at any angle as long as you can hold it. Very cool idea. And it has a metal core so the magnetic attachment could work here too.

What I don't know:
If you can use it in telecom, or if you can use it to fix and iPhone. There should be no surprise that an iPhone would be hard to fix--they are very particular and they want you to take it to the apple store.

Cant beat for the price

Tool kit is nice. Unlike others that are similar, the bits slide firmly into their socket so they don't come loose and the button on the right hand side rotates all of the bits vertically so they can be easily removed. The box itself is rugged and closes using embedded magnets. A few improvements can be made: 1) the ring on the suction cup is very weak and only lasted through 3 repairs before I replaced it with a much sturdier key ring. 2) The guitar picks are nice but I found myself wanting a pry tool with a handle instead which this kit doesn't offer. 3) The head of the main screwdriver turns to lock in the bits and takes time to remove and replace bits, I would prefer them to be held in place with magnets and/or screw down. All in all a good tool kit for the price.

A great precision screwdriver set...

This is an excellent precision screwdriver set overall. The product descriptions do well in explaining the bits that are included. The box opens via a magnetic flap on the bottom/back, right-hand side, as you are holding it. While not overly clear from the pictures, the button labeled "OPEN" on the far right hand side is actually a little slide clasp. As you slide the clasp to the right, it allows a spring to pull the four rows of bits into an upright position. While it is easier to read the labels under the bits while they are laying at an angle, it is much easier to pull the bits out when they are standing straight up.

I have only docked this by a point because I found that my set is missing one of the two straight bladed screwdriver bits. Instead of the 1.5 straight bit, I got a second T10 bit. Secondly, it would be nice if there were some type of documentation with the set. Manufacturers like to add features to some of these products which remain undiscovered by the "average Joe." For example, how many know that the slim tool on the split/key ring on the suction cup is used to eject SIM cards? (I only know this from watching a Verizon employee setup my wife's new iPhone, and seeing the SIM card ejector in the product's description.)
