Product Description

Repositionable wrist rests for Apple MacBooks, laptops, notebooks, ultrabooks, chromebooks, and netbooks. These are the perfect palm pads to cover the sharp edges on the wrist rest areas of Apple's MacBooks. Made with soft, sticky, repositionable silicone you can stick then on the palm rest areas however you like and take them off when you need to get up and go. We use MacBooks so we all drape them over the front edge of the wrist rests to soften that sharp edge. That edge might look good but it sure doesn't feel good. While we designed for MacBooks, we also made sure they work great with Hewlett Packard, Toshiba, Sony, Dell, Compaq, Panasonic, and Lenovo laptops and netbooks. We optimized for comfort and portability. You see, we tried a bunch of the super thin leather and clothe MacBook wrist rests that all cost a darn ton but we came away feeling like we just had no support for the money. The nice thing about them was that they allow you to close the computer while leaving the cover in place. We also tried the super fat gel laptop wrist rests out there from a couple of good vendors. They offer a ton of cushion, which some people like, but these where just a little too tall for us and a bit too bulky to pack away easily on the road so we work on a happy medium... REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE LAYER OVER TEH STICKY SILICONE WE SHIP THEM WITH!Sticky Palm Pads have a tacky silicone base that peals up easily without leaving a residue, and you just slap the two of the together and chuck them in your bag when you need to close up your laptop and go. Although, around here, Joey King just slapes them on the outside of his MacBook Air when he heads out. At 2 mm thick, they're not squishy, and they have a smooth black nylon surface. We think they offer the ideal balance between comfort and easy portability. To maintain the stick and keep them clean just wash them in soap and water and let them air dry every now and again.

I hate how the edge of my macbook air cuts into my wrist. I bought these pads and they are awesome. When I initially got them I was confused since I thought they were adhesive. They actually don't stick to the laptop at all, but they dont slide or fall off if you move your palm around. They are extremely comfortable and don't leave any marks or residue on the laptop. One small negative is that when you initially open them they give off a very strong paint smell. It wears off pretty quickly though.

Too small for 15" MacBook Pro

I like the material & construction, but bear in mind that the pictures above are on a 13" MacBook Pro. These are too small to adequately cover the wrist area on a 15".

Best accessory EVER

The difference between playing on a MacBook Air in the store and having it on a desk or lap at home was, in a word, annoying. That sharp front edge suddenly cut into my wrists and I feared I had just made a huge, expensive laptop mistake. These Palm Pads to the rescue. Shiny silicone on one side that "sticks" to the deck and stays put without leaving any trace behind when you easily pull it off. Soft fabric on top that feels good under your wrists and doesn't impede your hand movement (and ta-da, kills that razor-sharp deck edge instantly!) The size is great and they can be positioned again and again wherever is most comfortable for you. I don't even have to remove my watch or bracelets any more, because these protect the deck surface. No storage issues--just slap onto the outside of the case when you want to close up. And the price is right. I'd give these ten stars if I could. This product is simple genius.

this is very nice, you can't leave it when you close the computer or it will start staining your screen but they come off and can be put back on no problem. no adhesives so your panel won't be sticky but they won't fall off if you tilt the computer. very nice product.

Just what I needed!

This my first review ever -- but I am so delighted with this product. I am no longer considering replacing my macbook because of the pain its sharp edges were causing my hands. These pads are perfect because you can put them exactly where you need them, and move them if necessary. They also don't cover the trackpad like some other covers for sale. These are saving my wrist from irritated from the case I have on my MacBook Pro! They're nonslip, too! This is a great buy. I highly recommend this.

Edit:
These palm pads do pick up dirty easily, making them not as "sticky." To fix this, I just use a Lysol/Clorox wipe to clean them. After doing that, the pads don't slip off my MBP while in use. Still a great product.

Great Difference on my Samsung Series 7 laptop

I use these palm pads for my Samsung laptop. I had to open up the laptop to upgrade to an SSD. When I was all done, I realized the outer edge was jutted and not at level with the palm rest probably because of overtightened screws. So I had to do something about the sharp edges that were already annoying. These pads provided a comfortable typing surface. They are just about the right thickness so they can always stay on without creating a huge gap b/w the lid and the base. These are not a right fit for my laptop (as you can see in the pic) but they ARE very functional.

Fantastic product! The soft nylon is very durable, and the silicone underside "sticks" well onto the laptop. It's not an adhesive which allows for repositioning or removal to be an absolutely breeze. However, please note that this particular item is made for a 13" laptop. I purchased for my 15" MacBook Pro and it does work for all intents and purposes, but does not cover the entire area (see photo).
