This is a great carry around laptop. Its small enough to fit in a backpack or easy enough to carry around like a small notebook. I really like it.

I bought this little Gateway as a secondary computer, mostly for work. I needed something small and light for stage management, where I'm required to tote a lot of equipment between home, a rehearsal hall, and often a park (where the company performs). I was originally looking at Chromebooks, but decided I needed a computer that could be fully utilized without an Internet connection (no wifi at the park, what gives?). I also didn't have the budget to splurge on a fancy new computer, when I have an older but perfectly functional primary laptop (but who wants to carry an 8lb monstrosity around?).

So. I made this purchase. $150 for a fancy type-writer the size of a book, sure thing, I'll try it. I bought it refurbished, and it met my expectations. I've never had trouble with refurbished computers, and this one was no different. Honestly, I just needed it to run Office and be able to handle Chrome, and that's what it does. I tried all my usual websites and the browser runs great on this thing. Office runs fine, though it does freeze up for a minute if I have another window open. It can open and use all my Dropbox files and it looks like it'll be a great asset for work.

Warning, if you buy this (refurbished or not): you will need to spend the first couple hours removing all of the junk PCs come with. There was a lot of crapware. I deleted most of it myself, got rid of all the unnecessary apps (UGH, Windows 8.1 is the devil), then ran PC Decrapifier to get rid of the rest. Norton was the biggest drama queen, it took two tries to uninstall it (it froze the computer the first time I tried).

Good deal for a little lap top. Came on time in new condition. Touch screen is cool. Windows eight is hard to get used to but its not the sellers fault. Feel good in my purchase.

Shipped from Spartan Technologies at $139 with lovey 90-day warranty. I was planning on buying a temporary laptop just to use for school, and I assumed for such a low price this would not be high-functioning. I was amazed when I received it though. Shipped in two business days, with absolutely no signs of ware. Getting started was very easy, and for new Windows 8 users there was a nice tutorial. Nothing was complex. What shocked me was how fast this little bugger is considering how it's only 2GB RAM. Tested with my friend's Mac, this laptop was only about ten seconds behind in speed which is pretty amazing. The memory is good and after having this for a while I can proudly say it still works like great. I ended up ditching my Desktop computer and using this for everything. I would definitely recommend buying this.

The vendor I purchased this from via Amazon (Electo Extravaganza) has awesome customer service and the computer beat its delivery date by a day. I will buy from them again.

The machine was very very buggy. After contacting Gateway, we are doing a 6 hour reset that promises to clean the drive while not removing the preloaded software. We are holding out hope this will work. The machine is small without being too small, has the convenience of touch screen and key boarding, and I expect to be happy with it . . .eventually.

I had mine for five months so far. It's an ok laptop. I had it for a while now and now i want to post my little review of it. :) Like i said, it's an ok laptop. It's touch screen. The touch screen works well on mine. I sometimes pack this and take it to the library and use it there if i don't feel like being at home. It's been good for that as well. The laptop overall in functionality seems to be good. The only thing i don't like about this laptop (or maybe it's just mine) is the fact that when i unplug my laptop and it lays around unplugged for about 3 to 5 days (after having been fully charged up before the 3 to 5 days) i have to recharge it. The battery dies down to 1% while it is off. My other laptops don't seem to do that. So i don't understand that! I have to charge this thing up a few hours before i can take it outside each time. The battery doesn't stay ready to go. I always have to charge it up for a while, then go. But other then that semi-minor annoyance. It works great plugged in and for overall minor computer use here and there. Having portability for a small laptop with touch screen is nice. In general i like my little laptop. It could've been better i think, but overall, it's alright for minor uses, like typing up something, surfing the internet or watching a medium quality video. - cr
