Giving 3 stars because it was shipped in a package that did not have good padding protection to prevent breakage. It was sold as new. I question if it was new or refurbished. There was a lot of scratches on it, but it was very clean. It came with one of the tabs broken. Had to super glue with plastic mend before I could install. Needed now and it took quite a while before it was delivered. Didn't want the hassle of returning. Wasn't quite like the photo. Has same numbers on it as factory part, but didn't have some of the insulators so had to take apart cover plate of original and swap out with the alleged new one. Didn't come with any conductive or thermal grease which original had. Was enough in place from the original and made do. Once repair made, which took longer due to being received in a broken state, and the the swapping out cover plates (Original had black insulation like tape in areas to prevent contact that obviously new one might conduct didn't have) it is working well. It's quiet and runs like it is intended to.

Perfect replacement. BYO thermal paste.

This fan perfectly replaced the OEM fan in my M-6307 laptop. I drive myself and my family crazy with a bad fan for months: it sounded like a buzz saw inside my computer. Finally broke down and ordered this. Replacement was very easy: just needed a screwdriver and some thermal paste. A month later, and my laptop is still quiet despite the fan chugging along almost constantly.

One note: don't count on the thermal paste being included with this item. Mine wasn't. Fortunately, I had a spare tube of the stuff from a prior job. The seller offered to make it right by shipping a new one and was very willing to work with me, but if you need this job done fast, you may want to plan for that.

The fan on my laptop failed and I searched for a replacement. Local computer shops started at $150 to even look at it. It's a very easy replacement, you only need a small phillips screwdriver. I found this item at about a quarter the price of others. I received it very quickly and installed it in less than 10 minutes. My laptop works perfectly again. I highly recommend this item!
