Very solid numpad

I love the hard-press feel of this numpad. By "hard-press" I meant the feel of knowing you pressed that key and nothing else. I used this numpad to emulate WASD gameplay-wise. My friend and I take turns playing ShellShock Live 2 and he'll be using that in place of the WASD on my side. It's that good.

Because I can rely on this pad, you can rely on it too.

Doesn't always register numbers, no tactility at all, and the zero is very hard to press

I use a tenkeyless keyboard but every once in a blue moon I need to use a number pad. What I'd like is to have a nice number pad I could bring over just for occasions when I'm entering tons of numbers.

I thought there would be little quality difference between them and I purposely avoided ones that indicated they were laptop style keys. Unfortunately, this is laptop style keys. Moreover, they are poor quality. Many times I press and it doesn't register the key press so I get errors. No tactility whatsoever (that would be fine if it always registered). Get these only if you are accustomed to really mashing keys.

The bottom row has a hard area below it that sometimes I hit when I'm trying to hit the zero with my thumb. It's very hard to hit the zero with your thumb, just let me put it that way. It's very small (because there's a double zero) and it has a hard ridge there.

Overall I'm quite disappointed with this and will probably throw it away so I can get a good (or at least ok) quality replacement.

*** Shipping and handling: Optimal Shop did a satisfactory job in packaging this product; however, the item arrived in poor working condition.

*** Usage time: I received this product on December 30, 2014, and from the date of this review, I have owned it for 82 days.

*** Performance review:

- Negatives.

(1) Multiple keys (e.g., Enter, *) stick and must be pressed more than one time to un-stick them.
(2) Poor design quality that hinders users from quickly completing their work.
(3) Subjectively speaking, it's worth less than $6.99 (perhaps $1 or $2).

- Positives.

(1) USB chord is approximately 42 inches in length.

(2) Device is somewhat compact (3.5 inches by 4.5 inches).

*** Summary: I did not enjoy this device and would recommend it only as a backup. If this device were to break down, I would not order it again from Optimal Shop.

FYI: Product was made in China. Rating is 5V/0.25A.
