Genuine liteon my A**!!

I haven't used it yet but like someone else mentioned I didn't get a "genuine Liteon" I got a chicony or whatever it is.. It does mention you will get one or the other but the big, black ,bold heading says Genuine liteon and somewhere in the middle of the page it says one or the other..The reason I haven't used it yet is because my old one is 1.6a which is what the ad says, that's the main reason I ordered it but the one I got is 1.7a..Need to find out if that's OK to use. Don't want to burn up my laptop...Anyone out there know if it's ok to use 1.7a instead of 1.6a? Everything else is the same. I'm curious..has anyone ever got a liteon? Besides Motel 6 that is.
update: 03/23/13 Well I've used it for 4 days now and no problems..charges my laptop , doesn't get hot, maybe just a little warm but I think that's normal. all in all.. I'm happy with it.

Not what I was expecting.

My original power box shot craps and I had expected this to be the exact same kind. It doesn't say anything about being "Liteon" whatever; it just says "Replacement AC Adapter" It works fine and I haven't encountered any problems with it. My only dislike is that it is shorter than my original cord. If you are expecting it to be "New Genuine Liteon PA-1650-69 Laptop Ac Power Adapter Charger with Power..." it is not, but it does the job.

Not a Liteon power adapter, but still works fine.

Four stars since the product is obviously advertised as a "genuine Liteon." Make no mistake, you *WILL* get the Chicony adapter. No big deal though, it works just as well, but the Chicony's 9ft adapter cord is a bit shorter in length than my previous Liteon. On the plus side, the Chicony brand adapter has an LED in it that lights up when plugged in, which my old Liteon didn't have.

There is no winning here...

Unlike most of the people here, I *was* shipped a genuine LiteOn charger instead of the Chicony/"Or other," which is good, since I was buying it to replace the charger that a computer store lost when I dropped off my laptop there. The offbrand CBD charger that they (the computer store) ordered for me only had a 2 foot cord, which I thought was ridiculous for a laptop charger, and was one of the reasons I questioned the quality of it. That's another whole story in and of itself... Well, I was excited to get this one and see the "LiteON" logo right away. I was less excited about the cord that came with it... It's all of 3'6". So it looks like you will either get an offbrand charger with a long power cord, or a LiteOn charger with a super short power cord. Not entirely satisfied, here. :(

Deceptive photograph and description

The actual charger was another brand, named "Chicony." It is rated at the same specifications, but I'm dissatisfied at being misled by the product description.
