Design looks great, functionality needs some work

I was really looking for that vintage look and didn't want it looking like a school backpack (I'm not a student) Honestly, it looks good, but somewhat uncomfortable to use.

PROS:
-the canvas does give it a vintage look and overall I do like the way it feels.
-I'm also confident I probably won't run into someone with the same looking bag.
-the straps are comfortable and you could fit a lot inside compared to how bit it is

CONS:
-unless the pack is completely filled with stuffing or other stuff, it's never gonna sit by itself like in the picture. The bottom is reinforced, but because the rest is canvas, unless it's pretty filled up it's just gonna kinda lean forward - which doesn't looks very good. I guess this isn't really something wrong with the pack itself, but that picture really sold me.
-the double zippers look good design wise, but end up being a bother when actually using the bag. They're a bit rough and you have to unzip one at a time instead of just pulling on the flap.

Still getting used to using it.. If you're looking for a canvas bag nobody has - this is it. If you want a vintage pack that opens/closes/sits with ease, maybe not.

***UPDATE (9/16)
So I've been using the bag for about a month and here is my extended review. Simply put, I like the bag enough to just overlook its cons. Still comfortable and looks good.
-When getting something out I just lift up the flap and reach in for what I need. (not messing with the zippers)
-I end up carrying a hoody (never know when you need a hoody) just to fill the pack up

Best backpack ever

This backpack is very well made and is exactly as described. I have not had a canvas material pack in 60 years and this is wonderful after all the nylon ones. Very comfortable to carry with three pockets inside the main and three outside with one I use for my Kindle. If something happened to this one, I would replace it immediately with the same one. It is perfect for my use. Pay attention when using the zippers as the teeth are metal. Not quite as smooth as nylon. This is the BEST, I love it. Perfect size for a day pack.

it dosen't look exactly like in the picture

It's much more square than rectangle; looking at the picture it looks kinda photoshoped. When worn on the top middle dips in while the corners protrude outwards kinda of like a puffy pillow... it looks silly/awkward on a grown man.

Good looking and fashionable backpack, if filled with items correctly. Uncomfortable and not very useful.

This backpack is very nice looking but is not as puffed up and as square the preview image would make you believe. Only when the backpack is filled is the backpack really as it looks in the preview image.

The backpack is also pretty small. You cannot put many things in the backpack so don't expect to put more than two textbooks in the backpack and just two large textbooks would make you feel more than uncomfortable with this backpack.

The backpack definitely looks nice but the backpack straps do not feel very comfortable at all. This backpack is not designed for function. It is designed for aesthetics, and when done right and when it is filled with objects like a notebook, maybe a small laptop, it looks great and fashionable.

I carry an 11 in/28 cm Chromebook in the backpack all the time and the laptop compartment is perfect for that. I would not feel too comfortable with putting a tablet in this laptop without a protective case. This backpack is very thin and does not have a lot of support to hold it up. This backpack will not stand-up straight in normal conditions without items in it. Accidentally dropping this backpack with a tablet screen facing the fall is highly likely to end up with very bad results even from a foot because there is no cushion or support in the backpack.

Appearance: 8/10 ~ It looks very chique and fashionable on both men and women when it is not empty, but filled up.

Build Quality: 7/10 ~ It does not feel durable but has lasted through a lot of rough usage very well. There are no rips or tears as of yet but it feels so thin and flimsy that you might think otherwise but it seems to be very durable.

Usefulness: 6/10 ~ This backpack is meant for aesthetics. Not really function.Read more ›

Great product overall

I bought this backpack mainly for school. I used it to carry my textbooks and what not. It's very durable and sturdy as well as very spacious. I was able to fit in it 2 college textbooks, 2 binders, an iPad and a water bottle on the side pockets. The straps are also very comfortable, I had no problem with them. Shipping was also quick. I received my backpack about 2 days earlier than expected.
The reason why I'm not giving this product 5 stars is because when I got it I was having lots of trouble with the zipper. It tended to get stuck and that was very annoying. Also when I did carry a lot of heavy books, they tended to kind of lean outward and the flap on the backpack sort of looked open.
Oh the backpack itself is kind of large as well . I am 5'0 and the backpack reached me from my upper back to the middle of my bum. That was frustrating. It made me feel even smaller than I am.
Overall, I really liked this backpack because it was sturdy and that was what I was looking for. I just used it for one semester though...it fit my sister better so I just gave it to her.
