Absolutely usless!

I received this battery for my HP laptop and charged it immediately. After the charging cycle was complete, I unplugged the laptop power supply and pressed the power button to boot up. Nothing. I re-seated the battery and tried again. Still nothing - would not boot or charge. I switched to the old battery. No problem, booted immediately and began charging when the power supply was connected. Switched back to the new battery - no change. Wouldn't boot on battery, wouldn't charge, wouldn't even boot with power connected if the new battery was installed. Beyond DOA!

Received battery, powered up computer, plugged in to power up battery. Powered up to 95%. Next time I used computer the battery had lost power and it was unable to hold power even after I plugged it into the computer so battery was defective. I have other laptops where I replaced batteries and never had this problem before.

Great alternative to the manufacturers battery

The battery in my old HP laptop was completely dead and this worked perfectly as a replacement. It holds a charge for about 3-4 hours which is about the same as what the original battery did. If you use the sleep or hibernate feature of the laptop when you close the lid it will last roughly a week or so.

which is a disappointment to me

It has been 6 months since my purchase and the battery charge only lasts about 2 hours, which is a disappointment to me. I thought it should be at least a 3 hour or more use.
