I bought this laptop to replace an aged Sony Vaio that I had been using for spreadsheets and document collaboration. Comparatively I should have stuck with my ten year old laptop as the HP 355 has a short battery life and an incredibly slow processing speed. From the first start up I noticed that the laptop seemed to be slow and at first assumed that it would need some updates before it would run at full speed. This was not the case. The internet reminded me of dial up connections as webpages were loading at incredibly slow rates, refreshing ridiculously slow and programs (such as excel and word) were taking up to a minute to open. Also assuming that it could possibly be my wifi I used the laptop at several different locations to test this theory and was disappointed to find out that it was the laptop at fault. Aesthetically the laptop is pleasing and would be an ideal starter for someone who hasn't used a computer in the last 10-15 years.
