Okay laptop, missing some features

This one did not include a DVDRW drive, which was not apparent in the listing. The photos showed the Windows 8.1 install DVD as part of the package and when I unpacked it the installation DVD was included. Kind of useless without a compatible drive. Same model with a DVDRW drive installed sells for about the same price, so the missing drive should have been mentioned in the description of the laptop.

Otherwise, it's a good laptop for general use, but a USB3 CVDRW adds about $35-40 to the cost. Also, the power plug is an oddball size and it is hard to find a backup power supply with the proper tip. On HP's website, the only power supply listed for this model is a very expensive universal model and there's no guarantee that the power tip will actually fit this model.

No DVD or CD drive.

No DVD or CD drive. Surprise. Wish that had been stated prominently somewhere. But I was able to download the software from MS with the key on the software CD. I was also able to download my printer. When I think about it I don't use a CD/DVD drive that much. But I would rather have made that decision as a conscious choice.
Otherwise, just got the computer. It starts. I like the raised keys. It looks a little cheaper and lighter than my current HP i5. More back heavy I guess because there are no CD/DVD works in the front of the computer to even out the weight.
Update 1-6-15: I don't like the strange "T" plug on the end of the cord that connects to the computer. It looks like it is a set up to break. I am always mindful not to let it twist backwards and try to tuck the cord under the edge of the laptop just a bit. I hate having to think about that. It is otherwise working as expected. It is light weight, reasonably fast and the keys are responsive. I do find myself going to this laptop (as opposed to the others) as I move from room to room because it is lighter weight. I don't think the color is as great for videos--but that could be my imagination.

Beware.. No DVD/RW drive.

Did not come with a DVD/RW drive but did come with a Windows 8 install disk. Go figure. Sent it back and found a more powerful HP with a core I7 processor, somewhere else, for about the same price. And this one has a drive.
