I did not like all the installed adware

I was leery of getting this model mainly because of windows 8.1. I found the software environment a little wonky but that may have had to do with 8.1. I did not like all the installed adware.Many of the programs it came with had ads popping up constantly. I figured out eventually how to find stuff which made it a lot nicer. However 2 weeks in it received an update and then starting making these buzzing noises. My friend remote accessed it and tried to fix it but he could not. No matter what he did the buzzing came back and it got so bad it sounded somewhat like a fax machine. So I returned it. The return process was very quick and anyone involved was very helpful and courteous. It might have just been a fluke with the particular laptop I received. I am getting another laptop but since I like to game, I'm getting the Lenovo Y50. It is much better suited to gaming and has all the functionality of other laptop's.

I LOVE this laptop. It works great and has been very easy to set up WiFi when I travel. The battery lasts about 5 hours. The set up was simple and everything works well. I love the large keyboard and the 10-key on the side. The speakers work well but are not super loud. The mouse works well, but I still have a wireless mouse because of the functionality. It is large, but I wanted it to have a wide screen. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Generally a nice laptop. My gripes: (1) this comes with 6g memory but can handle 16g IF you go through a process of almost completely disassembling the computer to get to the memory bays. There are about ten steps. Have not gotten a quote but expect it will be prohibitive; (2) the keys on the keyboard are flat and easy to mishit.
