I purchased this laptop after doing considerable online research and comparison. For the price I expected this HP laptop to work faster and better than my seven year old Toshiba laptop but am sorely disappointed. I am editing this original review having used this computer now for a few months and having ironed out a few of the initial bugs. My biggest complaint is the keyboard. The key configuration is odd. Not only are the keys smaller than on my Toshiba but many are half size which includes all of the F keys. I had no problem reading the numbers and punctuation marks on my Toshiba keyboard. The numbers printed on the HP F keys are too tiny to read easily (measuring only 1/16th in.) And the punctuation marks on the keys are so tiny it’s difficult to differentiate between the comma and the period. Most annoying is that the space bar doesn't always work correctly causing words to be run together and punctuation marks missing. I should have returned this computer but felt it was too much of a hassle. It leaves me wondering if I could’ve gotten another computer as for much less money What do I like about this computer? I like that it has built in voice activated typing software (maybe not the best but better than nothing) plus it has enough USB ports for external devices and a CD drive.

This was bought for my husband as his old HP finally crashed, it was only 10 years old, so with that kind of quality we went with HP again. So far I see no issues and it runs great. He does very little on it except to check email and web searching. It actually is more than he needed but the quality for the money was unbeatable, Would highly recommend this laptop.
