These are exactly what I thought I wanted! I just needed something to keep me from resting my pisiform (the bump on the underside of your wrist on the pinky side) on the hard surface.

I gave them 4 stars, because I didn't realize how often I put my hand much father down to use the mouse pad, and they kind of get in the way, then. Took my about an hour to retrain my hand position, and now it's natural and serves the purpose, but causes more of a wrist hyperextension than without them... so give a little take a little I guess.

PROS:They are really well made. Soft, cushy, smooth: just want I needed. They are thick enough to really lift your wrists above the key pad, so great for ergonomics. Very supportive. Memory foam! LOVE IT! They stick tight, but no sticky residue. Can still close the lid enough to sleep. Keeps me from resting my wrist bones on the hard laptop surface (even when using the touchpad).

CONS: Too big for my hp EliteBook (15"): just the left one hangs off the side, but that really makes no difference at all to me. Cannot close lid all the way. For touchpad use, makes ergonomics worse (BUT, my wrist bone isn't wresting on the laptop anymore, which was my main issue). Almost gets in the way of the fingerprint reader if you have a similar laptop, but still works with it there. Doesn't offer support when using the touchpad, so once you move your hand back toward you, your wrist just kind of hangs off of it. It should be pretty obvious, but, in case you hadn't thought about it, I thought I'd still mention it.

I got this product because my hands were getting sore when I rested them against the sharp edge of the laptop. Trying to rest the heels of my hands on the flat surface next to the touch pad didn't seem comfortable enough, and I kept slipping back into the habit of pressing against the edge. So I ordered these wrist rests, and I've been using them for a couple of weeks.

On the plus side:
- They successfully protect me from the sharp edges of the laptop.
- For my use, they stay in place, no sliding around or falling off. Some combination of the base material, the ridged texture, and pressure from my wrists keeps them in place.
- They're very easy to remove, and they leave no trace behind. Use them on someone else's laptop without worry.
- They're easy to toss into a laptop case. I squeeze the two bases together.
- They fit well on both my widescreen HP laptop and my 13" Macbook Pro.

On the plus or minus side, depending on your preferences:
- The product photo might give you the impression that the top surface is knobbed. It's not. It's a synthetic fabric with a smooth surface and a tight weave.
- You can't close the laptop all the way when the wrist rests are in place. To me, that's no big deal. I just remove them.
- As I said above, they stay in place for *my* use, but I experimented a bit. If I tilt the laptop too much, they fall off. That doesn't matter for my use, because my laptops are docile creatures that mostly just lie still and flat. If your laptops get tilted a lot, you might consider this a problem.

On the negative side:
- I don't find the top fabric very comfortable when I've been sliding my wrists around (like between the touch pad and different parts of the keyboard. Too much friction with synthetic material is uncomfortable for me. I'm still better off than I was with no wrist rest at all. I suppose if there's a silver lining, it makes me take more frequent breaks.

I wanted something to cover the sharp edges of my Mac Book and this does it. They are a bit big so if you type a lot on your couch they might be somewhat bulky - but I'm pretty sure my wrists are doing better

I love this product! I use my laptop to type grad school papers and grade student papers; the hard flat surface make my wrists hurt. The wrist rest really helps with the pain and pressure. It also came within a few days of ordering. Just as an observation, the wrist rest has a smooth surface - rather than the bumpy one shown in the picture. However this does not hinder its performance.

I use these pads on my Asus N56 laptop every day. I spend a lot of time on my computer as a developer and gamer, but I also tend to get wrist pain from the sharp edge of my laptop so I bought these wrist rests. They work well for my purpose, but I had a few issues with them. First, they do have a nice adhesive on the bottom that helps them stick, and yet be cleanly removable. However, over the last few months the adhesive has become quite weak so that it barely holds them in place. Not a big deal, but a bit disappointing. My only other real issue is that they are quite large. This isn't really a problem for me, but I am mentioning it so people are aware. On my laptop, to be in a comfortable position, they have to cover a huge portion of the touchpad. Like I said, this is OK in my case because I don't use the touchpad, I always use an external mouse. However, this may be a problem for some people.

The only other thing I would like to mention is that the product image doesn't really look much like the real thing. They don't have bumps on them, just a smooth adhesive surface on the bottom, and a soft cloth top over a soft pad on top.

Overall good buy for the price!
