I just bought this computer yesterday from Best Buy for $460.99 that's with tax and all. Set up is easy and it also comes with a 6 month internet security which I deleted I am an AVG antivirus protection plan fanatic and it went on sale today at Best Buy for $399..00. Just called and they will honor the price so for $399 plus tax this a absolute SOLID DEAL. I wasn't sure about the touch screen but with windows 8 it makes it so much easier to use. The 6g RAM is a huge plus... wicked fast internet surfing. I still need to get used to windows 8 but this computer is the BOMB literally. I would highly recommend this to everyone as a beginner or an advanced computer goo-roo.... 1000% satisfied with this purchase. Strolg well built and feels like a much higher end computer.

Nice Little Computer For Surfing The Web

I bought this laptop/notebook at another place. It is excellent for my needs, which are surfing the web, chatting, picture sharing and playing minecraft with my son. The only issues that I have with it are:

1. It is not possible to disable the trackpad, so when you type, your hand brushes against it and zooms the screen in and out or changes your text size.

2. It's wifi card isn't the best. I had to purchase an antenna to boost my signal.

Other than that, it's great. I wouldn't recommend getting this PC for things like gaming, or picture/video editing.

This computer is slow. I returned the last one (Acer) because it was even slower. I thought if I bought a computer with Intel Core i3, that it would run faster. I have a Toshiba Satellite and it runs really fast with no problems. A problem with Microsoft is trying to continuously load Windows 10 which is a pain. I don't like windows 10 and do not want it, but evidently I am stuck with something I do not want. Loading Amazon takes forever, Internet Explorer loads so slow that I can go cook dinner. I have used computers for 30 years so I am not a newby, but I do expect that when I click on something to load, like my e-mail, it will load within at least 30 seconds. No such luck with this one!

Functions well for the price. Large HDD. 6 MB RAM. Touch Screen. Just wish the CPU processor speed was faster, but does the job for basic use.
Not crazy about HP Customer Support - they follow a basic script and that's it. And of course, it is outsourced to India so there's a language, or accent barrier shall we say. I don't mind that when ordering Tandoori Chicken at an Indian restaurant, but it's a little unsettling when discussing important technical issues.

I am frustrated with this computer. The display constantly gets either larger or smaller when I try to type making me constantly have to go to setting and reset to 100%. I can't get anything done on it. If it wasn't such a hassle, I would return it.
