Yes it's cheaper than other laptop desks...however....

I'm sticking with the better ones. I love Ikea, don't get me wrong, but here's why I don't like this "laptop desk" so much: Most other laptop desks are adjustable, have a lip at he bottom to prevent laptop sliding, have an area to use the mouse, and this one doesn't. Also, I was constantly PINCHING my fingers when lifting this up and down from my lap in the area where you would grasp it. And sometimes one side would fold in and send whatever I had on the table sliding off. I think it would be better used maybe just for a book when reading, not a laptop desk for an actual laptop computer and especially not for eating where it would be a semi-disaster if it spilled over. And also, if you still want one they are 10 bucks in the Ikea store if you have one within driving distance.

Great lap table

I had several lap desks on my wish list reading reviews and trying to decide on one. I have back problems and am a writer so needed something I could use in my recliner. Others were much more expensive, some as much as sixty dollars. So glad I stumbled upon this one. Works great and stores easily. And much cheaper!

Great purchase if you don't mind DIY!

This laptop stand is adorable. And if you don't care for the polka dot design, don't you worry!! Because the outer layer will peel right off the wood, giving you endless possibilities to create your own design. Maybe Il'll do a mod podge of French words I don't know, or vintage ads that should probably offend me, but instead make me laugh. Surprisingly, the wood is in good shape underneath, and there are no streaks of glue, presumably because the tears of Swedish children were used to keep this together instead of actual adhesive. Its the first Ikea product I've purchased that did not require assembly, but certainly not the first requiring some extra elbow grease.

i am writing a review as I bought this based on the positive ones and I really can't agree - yes its a good price but you get what you pay for...there is nothing to prevent computer from sliding off and Ive painfully pinched fingers at least a dozen times - I do not recommend this at all and regret buying it

Nice laptop support.it stands firmly, very good quality,the only drawback is that the price is only $10 in IKEA. Go there if you have time.

I use this stand everyday! It's wide legs make it possible to sit cross-legged if you want to with it. I'm using mine right now. Just be careful when you open it! as the legs will pinch you.. Other than that it's perfect for sitting in bed or on the sofa.

This laptop support is so comfortable. It has a 2 different angles that allows me to adjust it to fit the position I am in.
It's ligt and easy to carry around as well. Plus the print keeps me awake. I simply love it.
