I had to mess with some mic settings. When I got the mic, it was super quiet and didn't pick up much. After turning mic sensitivity up and adjusting the mic volume on my computer, it works perfectly and picks up when I have my laptop in my lap speaking normally. Definitely a good purchase.

I bought this microphone when I was desperate. I needed one to talk to my boyfriend on Skype, but at a low price. After a bit of searching, I came across this microphone. I decided that, because the price is so very, very low, I might as well give it a shot. This microphone is decent in quality, especially for how cheap it was. I've had more expensive mics that didn't work half as well. Unfortunately, they can break easily if you aren't careful (There are a lot of children in my house!), so I recommend purchasing two or three, just so you have a back-up. They are well worth it.

great mic for skype

I've been very pleased with this mic. I bought it for my girlfriend (long distance relationship) because built in mics on laptops aren't that great and I only have partial hearing in one ear. The mic picks up her voice and its quite clear. The only thing that a more expensive mic has over this one is that you can't be far away from the mic which isn't that big of a problem because we only use it to video chat. For a couple bucks we have dramatically enhanced our ability to communicate. Anybody weary of buying this mic can rest assured that this will work just fine.

Bought this microphone from here on Amazon through SF Planet and received it almost immediately. Isn't the greatest mic, but it is a vast improvement over my laptop's internal mic. So far I have no complaints and it works just fine. It's smaller than I expected, but it picks up sound pretty well, despite being about a foot from my face even when fully extended. If you're looking for something fancy, you're probably going to need to invest more. But if you're looking for a cheap but decent little microphone, you'll be pleasantly surprised with this one!

I just bought this mic & to be very honest I was not expecting good quality because of the cheap price around $2.50.
I found this little product very useful for a lap top with Windows 7. The shipping speed was also good but packaging was not suitable for the microphone but I understand because of a low price, packaging cost can not be increased.
