A superior macbook stand.

The iStand is hands down the best laptop stand made for Apple laptops! The brushed aluminum finish matches the finish on the Macbook Pro very well and you won''t even notice. After using this stand, my posture at my desk improved because the screen is raised about 6 inches, allowing the screen to be closer to eye level.

The stand also includes a cable management hole in the back so all of the cables connected to your laptop neatly tuck away behind the laptop. The stand has also been updated to include a small notch allowing users to open their laptop right on the stand. Another design feature are the rubber pads that prevent your laptop from directly contacting the metal stand, therevy avoiding scratches on you machine.

Overall there is just no comparison! This is absolutely the best stand for Apple (and other) laptops on the market. Due to its stationary nature and lack of moving parts, you can fully expect this product to last you for YEARS. I would highly recommend this to both people with an external monitor, and those using the laptop by itself - it will improve your posture and reduce strain on your neck and back!

Great sturdy stand with a clean design

This stand is very nice, it feels sturdy and although very sturdy, very easy to disassemble if you need to take it with you to use at both home and your work. As you can see from the picture compared to a apple keyboard, this has a small foot print. I was able to put my 16" laptop on this without a problem and it was sturdy and in place. This places your laptop at a great viewing angle, and great height for your work desk. Leaves plenty of room underneath the stand for you to store your keyboard when not in use. Solid build quality, isn't going to fall apart. If you have a question regarding the support of a 17" laptop, it does work depending on the weight and design. I have 2 17" laptops that I tried on this stand and one worked and one didn't. The one that didn't is an older laptop that is 1 1/4" thick and the one that did work was 3/4", the reason that impacted the way it worked is it was a little heavier so when you opened it up, the screen weight was too much and the front of the laptop tipped up over the lip. I have attached a picture of my wife's 17" laptop that did work and it worked fine.

So, if you need a stand for your laptop to raise the height of your laptop and give you some extra storage underneath, this is the stand for you.

My laptop was sitting flat on my desk, and I knew it was just a matter of time before I spilled something on it. So I considered this stand to be an insurance policy, as it puts my Macbook Pro out of harm's way.

The stand is great. It lifts my laptop up to a better height for viewing, frees up some desk space, and keeps it cooler.

The design leaves room underneath the unit, which is great for extra storage, or sliding a keyboard under (although it's not quite high enough if you tried to type under it). Solid construction that should last, quite simply, forever. The unit positions the laptop's screen to a height that works perfectly with my other external monitors.

Interestingly enough, the packaging it came in even reminded me of how Apple would have packaged it. It's a wonderful product that fills an obvious need, and is one of those "why didn't I think of that" items. Simple design, beautiful, and very functional.

I now have 2 of these: one for home and one for the office.

Solid & Stately Stand

I just destroyed a Sony Laptop that I loved last month because I knocked over a very tall glass of ice tea and killed it. I am not prone to clumsiness so this really upset me...my hubby had a field day since I am always warning him to be careful (karma!)
This stand protects my new laptop from my caffeine addiction and inspires a much straighter posture. I have been having some neck strain of late and I feel that raising the laptop to eye level is helping with that. If you are very tall it may not be high enough for you to have the laptop at eye level. My husband is 6'3" and it works for him, but if you are much taller it may not work.
