Classy Felt Macbook Air Sleeve

Inateck sent me one of their felt sleeves to review. I guess they noticed I owned several 13" Macbook Air notebooks. The quality of this sleeve is excellent. Much nicer than the sleeves I have owned before. Looks professional enough to bring to work and carry into a board meeting.

Eco-conscious and minimal - 13" Macbook Air Owner

This case has no plastic pieces or zippers and is made almost entirely of a dense felt that is soft, and very durable, as well as sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable. The inner lining won't scratch your device, and is mold-resistant and resists wear.

There are two back pockets for slim accessories such as small notepad, external hard drive, pens, phone, emergency phone charger, wallet, earphones, storage cards, etc. One pocket is 5" tall x 4.5" wide, and the other is 5" tall by 3.75" wide. There is also a large pocket under the flap for a full size writing pad, or other accessories, that measures 7" tall with an 11.25" wide opening. All of the pockets have minimal depth and are best suited for flat-ish accessories, so this is a very slim case with a low profile. There is also a pouch included that I used for my Macbook Air charger, but you could also use it for a mouse or cell phone.

This case is great. I carry a large purse with me and carrying a laptop bag in addition to my purse is cumbersome. I was traveling and attending conferences this week and instead of lugging around both my purse and laptop bag like I usually do, I just slipped my laptop and charger into my purse using this case. It was so comfortable to not have a second laptop bag to carry. After putting these items through the ringer for about a week I noticed no stretching and this felt isn't going to tear unless you're actually cutting it; the quality is that good.

Soft, fuzzy, stylish . . . but where do you put your cord?

Okay, so Inateck asked me to kick this around and see if it was capable of protecting my Macbook. Style-wise I prefer the other covers they have (the ones with the snaps) but this is easy to use and functional. That black stripe across the front is an industrial strength elastic band. Seriously; I think you could bungee with it ("kids: don't try this at home"). It is sewn into the seams, in between the two layers of thick felt (the felt is about as thick as two or three quarters stacked on top of each other). At first I was tempted to put my laptop in this and toss it around like the Gorilla in that old luggage commercial, but then I realized that I was testing the cover, not the ability for my Macbook to be dropped from great heights.

So, what's the verdict? Well, it is stylish, if you are into the whole grey wool suit look, or you live in a dry climate. It says it is mold proof, but it is not really waterproof. Still, among other sleeves I have seen, this one is nice--and it is different. It is not the same old laptop case everyone else at the party has, and when you get tired from too much work you can roll it up into a nice pillow. Structurally this thing is insane. I tried to pull it apart, but it just laughed at me. The pockets are exactly as they look in the product shots — "minimalistic" is the operative word here. I think my favorite part is that the inner sleeve is lined with a fabric that feels like ultra suede but is as thin as denim shirt. If you use this as a pillow, be sure to turn it inside out first for a pleasant nap.

The lining is made of several layers, and they are all machine-stitched together with meticulous precision (well, it is a German company). This thing screams quality from beginning to end.Read more ›

Wonderful Case with Extra Pouch To Take Anyplace!

This is 11 inches so you can hold a small mini size or bit bigger than mini Laptop. I think it works perfectly for tablets and even regular PCs/tablets, but this case is great for Macbook people.

It is a nice felt grey outside with a soft and teddy bear flannel inside. Think of it almost like the flannel Pajamas you may own or that soft teddy you have on your bed or use to have as a child. I love how protective it is for my computer, but still has so much comfort for holding on too. The durability is great and the quality is wonderful.

You really aren't getting a bad case for the price, it's well stitched and strong to hold your laptop and some wires if you like. The little extra pouch is perfect for the wireless mouse and some other things, like for me I sneak in some SD cards or USB Cord for charging my phone.

It's really a nice product and the color is perfect for anyone of any age, which is why I love it as well, no gender or age specific.
