I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to help others out that might be having the same doubts as me. I was VERY nervous buying a battery that was not from Dell. I went back and forth for some time. The same type of battery from Dell is three times the price of this one, so I figured I would at least give the cheaper one a try. I am thrilled with how well it works! Even if I have to replace it every year, that is better than paying for the Dell battery. I had my laptop barely a year when I started getting the notice that my battery life was fading. I would definitely buy from this company again. The shipping was reasonable and fast, and the battery works great!

Give them a try, and you won't be disappointed!

I bought this battery after making the mistake of trying to go cheap on another battery and being disappointed. I paid a little more for this battery but it arrived quickly, it fit my Dell 1545 perfectly, it had an 80% charge on it when it arrived and when fully charged it has about six hours of running time. What more could you ask for. I would recommend it.

I had my laptop for about 1 1/2 years before I got messages saying that I needed to replace my battery. The ones on Dell.com are SO expensive and this just seemed like a deal-breaker. I ordered it but I was first sent a Mac-book battery which I had to send back. When I finally got my actual battery, I worked AWESOME. It lasted two and a half hours, a much improvement from my previously worn out 15 min batery life. But after a few days I got new messages saying that the battery was unreadable.

I don't know if its just my particular battery, but I feel like Amazon let me down big time. Ususally everything they have works so well but this is just terrible.

Do not purchase for a Dell 1545 Inspiron

I purchased this laptop battery for my Dell Inspiron 1545,and after the first charge the battery refused to charge. Today I took the battery out to see if I could reset, it didn't work. I took the battery out for a second try and noticed that the battery states it is for a 1525 instead of 1545. I trusted this seller because I trust Amazon. I still trust Amazon but don't trust this seller. My laptop is now stating it can't detect a battery.

My original battery lasted 3 hours but died about 1 year after purchasing the laptop. It only lasted 30 minutes before I finally decided to replace it. This generic battery purchased from amazon lasts only 60-90 minutes, so not much better.

Edited 6/12/12: After 6 months of use, I am now getting the message that the battery life is ending and while it can still charge, it is only lasting about 30-60 minutes while unplugged.

Edited 9/30/12: After 11 months of use, I am getting the message that the battery needs to be replaced.

I guess you get what you pay for.

They replaced this battery quickly.

I purchased this battery Aug 18, but it only lasted for 4 charges. I wrote a negative review and that night someone from the company contacted me and said they were shipping a new one out. I received it a few days later and they asked me to delete the negative review, which I couldn't do until I tried this out and saw that it lasted for more then 4 charges. The battery they sent seems to be doing well so far. However, it's only been a little over a week. I've charged it 5 or 6 times and every time it holds a charge for 2 hours, which is good.
The one negative was that they called twice and sent emails every day asking me to take down the negative comment. I had to have time to test this out before I could do that and now Amazon isn't letting me delete it. But anyway, they did seem interested in having a good name here so I'd say anything you buy, if you don't like it, contact them and they'll replace it.
I gave it 4 stars since the new one is holding a charge.

Does not work with Inspirion 1545 - HARRASSING SELLER

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SELLER. Since getting my refund and updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars I have received 13 emails telling me I need to remove my feedback because they gave me a refund. I have complained to Amazon but nothing has been done to remove this harrassing seller from amazon or to stop them from harrassing me. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SELLER. You are better off paying the extra ten dollars to get a working product directly from Amazon!

***UPDATE***
They were very good about giving me a refung quickly when I could not get this to work with my computer.

It is not a Dell branded battery. This comes with about 40% battery life in it. I switched it out for the dead battery in my laptop & it will not charge. I get a plugged in not charging error. The plug is also new & dell branded. Dell support said it's a problem with all the inspirions they will only accept the dell branded batteries.
