Very Nice Sleeve, Zipper Case Is Nice Too...

Since Amazon does not allow more than one review for multiple products sharing the same review set, I combined this review of the Kamor 15.6 inch MacBook Air / MacBook Pro Neoprene Sleeve and Kamor 15-15.6 inch Water-resistant Neoprene Laptop Sleeve Computer Case. Both products offer excellent features for storing your computer and look good and are well-made.

In the video review, you will see me demonstrate the Kamor 15.6 inch MacBook Air / MacBook Pro Neoprene Sleeve first. This is a great sleeve and is extremely versatile. Available in black, this case is easy to flip inside out and becomes a darker great color. You will see me demonstrate with a 14" laptop and the case fits perfectly.

The second case I demonstrate is the Kamor 15-15.6 inch Water-resistant Neoprene Laptop Sleeve Computer Case. This is a very nice zippered case and has a thicker cover to protect against bumps and small falls. This case is not reversible, however it features a strong zipper access at the top to keep your case secure and easy to open/access.

Generally, both cases are well-built and are very value priced. Great for notebook computers 14" up to 15.6", these cases are stylish, functional and generally a great investment.Read more ›

This is the first sleeve I've purchased for my laptop (MacBook Air 13.3in). I waited a while to see how the material holds up, etc. It's done its job perfectly. I have a hard case on my laptop as well, and it still fits fine. It's a little snug, but easy to get in and out. I love how it's reversible. It's pretty stain and water resistant, too. Can't say enough about how well made the material is: perfect thickness, and tough but soft and somewhat flexible. Added bonus that you can set your laptop on it while you work, rather than a hard table.

Perf

I wanted a simple sleeve with no zippers or other hardware that could eventually scratch my rMBP. Purpose is to be able to insert the computer (with sleeve) into a Targus vertical rolling case and be able to extract the rMBP in sleeve at TSA checkpoints without having to remove the laptop. I have a similar sleeve for a tablet so I had a good idea of what I was looking for. First impressions after receiving the sleeve and inserting the rMBP is that it is a perfect, snug fit. It fits into the Targus case perfectly and adds a bit extra protection and snugness. It's exactly what I wanted. I did not experience any issues with the flap not closing completely. Because of the snug fit there does not seem to be any 'play' once the rMBP is inserted though you may need to tug the sleeve a bit when closing it. Anyone looking for a sleeve for a similar application should be more than happy with this one.

decent sleeve, but floppy opening. EDIT: but good cust. service.

I was debating between this sleeve and the one with the zipper, and now wish I'd got the zippered one instead. The fold-over flap on this one is depicted to close tight to the device, which I thought seemed sharp, but in reality, it is quite floppy, and buckles open on it's own, so much so that you can even see the computer inside.
EDIT 4/26/14: In response to this review, the company contacted me and tried very hard to rectify the matter, ultimately giving me a full refund without my having to even return the item. This was certainly above and beyond on their part and not at all necessary, so I applaud their going to these lengths. However, in my emails with them, we disagreed significantly about whether this sleeve should fit my computer or not. I noted that according to Amazon, the fold-over case was advertised as a universal fit for many more than just the Mac devices and noted as "frequently bought together" with my Chromebook. A 13" Macbook Pro measures 8.94 x 12.78 x 0.95 inches- almost exactly the measurements of my Toshiba 13" Chromebook (at 8.9 x 12.9 x 0.8 inches.) And my Chromebook seems to me to fit in the sleeve perfectly- it is just a poorly, floppily designed flap, in my opinion. I find it hard to believe that the minuscule size differences between the two computers would cause a better fit with a Mac, which was the company's claim. Therefore, I can't in good conscience change my 3-star review of this product, as was the company's hope, though I do still stand by my guess that the zipper pouch will be a great solution. I will be reviewing the company themselves as 4 stars for their excellent efforts.

PERFECT for 13.3 inch Ultrabooks/Macbooks/Chromebooks/Zenbooks

This is exactly what I was looking for to protect my ASUS Zenbook. This neoprene sleeve is a nice snug fit around the very compact and thin Zenbook. If you are looking for a snug sleeve for a super thin device like a Zenbook or a Macbook or a Chromebook this is what you need.

I had originally tried a larger Kamor zippered sleeve, but it was just too big for an ultrabook.

░░░░░THE UPSIDES░░░░░

❖ It's got just enough padding to protect your ultrabook against scratches and light taps. I keep my computer in this sleeve when it's sitting around the house (keeps the kids' grubby fingers off of it). When I take my computer out I'll put the whole sleeve in my larger computer bag. It's the perfect size to carry that way. And with the sleeve inside a larger bag my computer is very well protected as I travel.

❖ It's thin and doesn't add bulk to a tiny computer. The added advantage here is that it also means the sleeve fits your machine like a second skin so there is no way the computer can slide around inside and be hard to hold as a result. See picture below of how snug the ASUS Zenbook fits. (Note, this is with the flap open. The flap closes neatly around it.)

❖ All soft design. There is no zipper. That means nothing can scratch your metal frame computer. The flap design is easy to stretch over the machine while still holding it in tightly and securely.

░░░░░THE DOWNSIDES░░░░░

❖ There is a chemical smell. But this isn't even really a down side because it's easily fixable. Neoprene stinks when it's new. All Neoprene does. It's a byproduct of the manufacturing process. It's not a fault of this particular sleeve. The day you get anything made of Neoprene, sit it outside in the direct sun all day. The heat and UV light of the Sun will break down the chemical smell in a day and it'll smell like fresh laundry.
