I added 8 more GB of ram to my new Dell 17r # 3737, after asking questions on Dell Forums, I was being told it would only take just up to 8 GB total, which mean I could only add 4 more GB as what people were saying in the forums, but reading more I took the chance and ordered the 8GB Memory anyway, and low and behold it worked like a charm, no problems at all, show I have 12GB of memory now and runs fine, but I bought the same type Memory that was installed from Dell which was Kingston, it doesn't show that it's PC3L above but that's what's in my Laptop so I ordered as the same. I say you can't go wrong with Kingston, they have been around for many , many Years, so I trust their products and will keep using them when need be.

Excellent, and I just expanded my new ASUS N550JK to 16Gb in five minutes. Shut down the computer and very easily open the back cover, remove the battery and install as the Kingston manual shows in pictures, then install back the battery, then the back cover, and your computer will now be expanded to 16Gb ram. You should have the correct screwdriver for the small screws.

Works with MSi Laptop

I'm using a 2014 MSi GE 60 Apache laptop. It came with 8GB of Kingston RAM installed. These chips sold here (while on a green board; not blue like the chip the laptop shipped with) seemingly have the same specs. I installed this newly ordered chip a few minutes ago and the two chips work fine together. The machine is recognizing the full 16GB of RAM. Hope this helps any MSi laptop owners who have searched for the pre-installed Kingston MSi stickered chip but could not find it.

Laptop memeory

The memory fit into my dell inspiron 15 laptop. The memory was installed and I booted the laptop and it found the additional memory with out going into the bios or changing any settings. This memory was put into slot 0 and the original memory was put into slot 1. The idea is to have the memory read the larges amount first. Most computers will work with different memory amounts. Now the laptop has 12 gig of memory and is working very well.

This memory works Great!! I purchased a Dell inspiron 3531 and the new 3551 one with the intel 2830 processor and the other a 2840 processor. Dell indicated that the max memory upgrade for both laptops were 4gb, but I was actually able to upgrade them both to 8gb of memory. Its worth the upgrade, improved performance and speed!!
