Bought this for my Sony Vaio VPCEH laptop to double my RAM. I run Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and other resource intensive programs and needed memory to run them effectively. If you are a technical person, there will be no problems installing. Once I booted up my machine, it recognized a hardware change and had to reconfigure the settings and reboot. The difference it has made in overall machine performance is amazing. I no longer have unresponsive programs and I don't have to worry about losing work. I definitely recommend this product.

windows didn't like it. The bios recognized the ram upgrade

The bios recognized the ram upgrade, windows 7 sp1 would never get to the login screen regardless of the hours spent attempting multiple various types of booting, bios configuration, etc.I wanted to upgrade for the purpose of upgrading to windows 10.
