I purchased one (and only one) module to upgrade my ThinkPad T430 from 4GB to 8GB and I am super-happy with what I got. So let's do it by paragraphs.

PACKAGING: comes in well protected in a plastic case with a see-thru top. Was easy to take it out.

INSTALLATION: fit right in, took literally seconds. The manual (it's a leaflet) reminds us to remove the battery before upgrading. Good advice.

COMPATIBILITY: like I said, I only bought one module and it matches perfectly with the other 4GB that's made by someone else.

PERFORMANCE: running the 'Windows Experience' benchmark (Windows 7, 64-bit) shows improvements as follows:

- CPU and Disk, no change, as expected.
- Memory (RAM) 5.9 -> 7.5
- Graphics 5.1 -> 6.5 (nice)
- Gaming graphics 6.4 -> 6.5

Pretty good for a not so expensive upgrade.

This memory seems to work just fine in my Synology DS1515. I would have purchased the Synology brand memory, but this was not only about 1/5th the price, but also and most importantly... it was AVAILABLE! I put this in the 1515 and then ran the memory check that is found in the Synology assistant a few times. It seems to be working fine and the memory seems to be used by the system. I have not noticed any problems with the NAS or with Crashplan running on it.

What I Needed!

I found it very helpful to see that someone with my exact computer had purchased and installed this RAM successfully, so I'll post the same.

I replaced the 2x2GB RAM with 2 of these memory sticks in my MacBook Pro, Mid-2012 model (2.5GHz Intel Core i5). The installation process is simple enough but I did not replace the memory myself (why risk it when the student help desk can do it with experience for free?). If you'll do it yourself I would recommend that you keep track of where the screws came from, though - apparently some of them are different sizes than the others sometimes.

Everything seemed to work when I powered it back up after the installation, though I did have to reboot again before it could find my campus WiFi and connect up automatically. Since then smooth sailing! As a graduate student I tend to desire between 4-8 apps open at a time over three "desktops" and 4GB of RAM just wasn't enough. I've only got 4 apps open now but it's already clear that menu and program start-up times are much better, and even basic things like searching for a file or opening a massive folder in Finder.

I'll certainly update my review if I have any issues pop up but so far these improvements make this purchase totally worth it!

This doubled my DDR3 Ram and expanded the ram on my machine to double , manufactures build specification .This allows my machine to operate like a more expensive model for a small $ outlay . Installation took only a few minutes , I only needed a small phillips screwdriver to unscrew bottom cover on my laptop , unlock the memory slot , install memory card , lock card in place, reinstall bottom cover and screw. Energize computer check to see computer recognizes additional memory , and your good to go, memory installation is successful

I purchased this RAM for my MacBook Pro (2010), and when I installed it I immediately starting getting kernel panics and system crashes. I removed the RAM, made sure it was clean and the sockets were clear, reinstalled the RAM in the opposite slots, and still had problems.

Bad RAM. So I returned it and was quickly refunded my money. Unfortunately they were out of stock so I had to ultimately purchase from someone else. But I have no complaints with how this company dealt with my issue. There are bad chips out there, and sometimes they wind up in customers hands. A good company makes that process as painless as possible, and these guys did that. So three stars for Doing It Right.
