It can seem a little daunting out of the box but no worries, it assembles very easily. The flexibility for the stand is amazing, you can lay down fully on your back (which is what I was going for) on the bed or any other angle you can imagine. The laptop is held securely in place both but the prongs underneath as well as the ones that hold it snug on top. It breaks down quickly for travel and it doesn't seem too heavy for an avid traveler such as myself, I will just put it in my checked bag.

One important tip!
Don't un-tighten the bolts on the stand too much otherwise they come apart completely and it will take you 10 minutes to figure out how to get it back on. I've learned to unscrew it just enough to adjust the stand and retighten and now I can set my stand up quite fast.

This is not a bad laptop stand, however, it's kind of wobbly when typing, but sturdy when not in use. I would use a wireless keyboard with it. It's very tall and fits over my bed which is on stilts. The design is good because it can move 360 degrees, but the bottom short legs should be about about foot longer.

do not buy this. the product has a very cheap feel. does not balance well on it self. I needed to but the legs of the stand under some dumbells. the hinges that allow it move up and down are complicated to work with. you have to untwist the knob and if u do it a little too much the whole thing comes apart. I would not recommend this product to any one.

The instructions are badly translated from some language into English. What instructions exist are vague and confusing. The stand will not work in a bed at all. This is strictly for a chair usage. It's extremely unstable and very difficult to position.

I like it, shipping was fast and it is what it is, nice look and mobility, but the top part,... i would change, one of the bracket-nut came off and i just fixed with tape no to strong but its holding it, I'm going to upgrade it myself with something else,..mouse pad its useless.

I really like the idea behind this and it does work. That being said, it is about 80% of what it needs to be. The joints work by loosening the knobs, if you unscrew too much (which is easy to do), the whole joint falls apart. While the legs do provide a decent counter balance, they cannot keep the stand from wobbling, which does not work well for a desk.

Overall I'm not satisfied with the end product and I wish I could use it more but it is the only one trying to innovate and I love them for it.

When i received it, it looked like too many parts to assemble, but within a minute I had figured it out.

PROS:
The stand is very versatile and can go in almost any position.
It can be adjusted very easily
IT can be used almost ANYWHERE!!! which is the biggest benefit, and outweighs any of the CONS

CONS:
it wobbles while typing, so you must put pressure on your palms to keep it steady. When in a totally vertical position, it wobbles much less
Be careful when adjusting the tightening knobs to make sure that you are not tightening between notches, give it a wiggle while tightening it. Or else, if you tighten between the notches, it can fall down.
I had to apply some tape on the laptop stand side to prevent it from scratching my macbook.
It would be nice if it came with some type of portable bag

The stand is unstable on carpet. The joints are very sophisticated and they can have unlimited positions, but without any detente, articulating the arms is impossible without having 3 hands, first to hold the stand, second to loosen the arm, and third to move it to the new position, then the second one to tighten it again. This of course before you put the PC on it, otherwise.....

This is fine if you want to set it up once, but if you have couple of positions that you want to change from you can forget it.

The finish is very beautiful and the instruction were reasonably good, but the threading on the tubes is non-standard and very coarse. I tried to save my purchase by using a standard nibbles and brackets from the hardware store, but they did not fit naturally and I did not want to force them and ruin the product so I asked for a refund and I am still waiting.

As I mentioned, it is over-engineered by a Mechanical Engineer, but I am certain that No Human Factor / Ergonomic Engineer was involved in the design, otherwise they would have added spring load assistance or similar detente mechanism to enable user to change positions easily.
