Great performance

Nice to be able to have my computer free from wires for hours. I'm a software developer and use the developement software in a virtual machine so I run the system really hard and the battery will run for hours under that heavy load. It does extend below the machine a bit so it props the back of machine up about 3/4 inch but I've found that lets more air under the machine and it runs cooler that sitting flat.

Slightly different than the stock Dell

This battery works great in my Dell laptop. The stock battery died and I had to replace it. This battery is a Dell equivalent... meaning that Dell doesn't sell this battery; however, it fits and works great in my Inspiron. A word of caution... this battery doesn't allow your laptop to lay flat. It has an incline built into the base so that the laptop will automatically be at about a 5 to 10 degree incline. I have a laptop cooling tray so I had to make some adjustments to get the angle back to my comfort zone.

Better than the original!

I did a lot of research before I purchased this battery. And I'm happy that I selected this particular brand and model. It's better that the original Dell battery. Plus I like the design. It doesn't protrude from the back of the laptop like the Dell 9 cell unit. It does have "feet" which keeps the back of the laptop elevated which I think is an advantage in keeping the laptop cool.
This battery come with excellent instructions. Going through a couple of initial cycles (charge and discharge) was a breeze. You'll enjoy the long battery run time you get out of this unit.

This battery was $100 less than the recommended Dell replacement battery for my laptop. Shaped so that the bottom your laptop no longer sits flat, this battery may take some getting used to. The gap between he bottom of the battery and table allows your laptop to breathe and stay cooler. Battery life has been excellent for mine, better than the original Dell battery. This battery is a great value and well worth the price.
