Could not find a manufactured date on this item or on the packaging? It may in fact be the original product BUT it may also have been sitting in storage or on a shelf for years waiting for us to come along and buy it? We don't know. If you plan to purchase this product ASK before you purchase exactly what the manufacture date of this battery was. "Genuine Original Battery" is NOT enough to tell you when it was made. When it was made determines how long it will last in your equipment.

Works Great...Bad Battery (see updates)

Fits my HP Pavilion dv6 perfect. Holding a charge great for 2 months now.

#1 UPDATE: Jan 20 2015 The battery is no longer holding a charge at all. If I unplug the laptop it shuts off. I put my old battery in and it works normally when unplugged. I have not heard back from the seller(wondermart) about a replacement. Will update when I see how the 18 month warranty is handled. I have used this battery for only 2 months and a week.

#2 UPDATE:1/26/2015 I have lowered my review to 1 star as the seller wondermart did not honor the 18 month warranty but Amazon gave me a full refund to a gift card. Very disappointed in this item and seller.

The battery arrived on time as promised. The fit was perfect just like the original so I followed the instructions for re-charge and discharge. The battery got a full charge and I proceeded to use the laptop to discharged it again. Trying to re-charge again the battery got to 18% after 8 hours. After an additional 4 hours it was still at 18%. I left it overnight and the next morning it was still at 18%. So I have come to the conclusion that this battery is a dud so it goes back. Open your arms LB1, your baby is coming home to you. I guess that's the reason the battery has no manufacture date so they can argue with the customer that it is new since there is no way to prove it. I believe this should be a normal practice to include this info about the product so the customer will know. This is just a way to pass off defective and expired products to unsuspecting consumers. Be aware people... Vote for this change if you agree...
