Keyboard seems cheap, preloaded apps are a mixed bag, fast enough processor. Fine for the price.

Not thrilled with the keyboard and trackscreen look and feel. It feels cheap, bends when I press down. It's a tradeoff--the laptop is thin and light. During setup I was prompted and warned to remove the preloaded software Superfish which must be the Chinese spyware I heard about in the news. Stumbled across a page on the Lenovo website which says they are upping the free McAfee virus subscription to 6 months for those of us that had Superfish installed. Also not a fan of Windows 8, but that isn't Lenovo's fault. Once the massive updates were finally downloaded and installed, the processor is fast enough. There isn't a ton of preloaded crapware and one I absolutely love is the ShareIt app. After downloading it to my old machine, I was able to setup and connect them to transfer files quickly and wirelessly, very nice.

Liking it very much

Have had mine for a month now, so far so good. Bought mine as an 'open item' at Best Buy and got it for a couple hundred bucks less. I'm a lady truck driver and use it every day on the truck. It has withstood the vibration of the truck while going down the road at least 8 hrs a day most days of the week. It's faster than my old HP Pavillion dv7 that has pretty much died. This Lenovo is slim and lightweight. It also doesn't cook my legs having it on my lap like my HP did, it doesn't get anywhere near as hot. The fan, if there is one, is practically silent...I don't hear it at all. The fan in my HP dv7 was noisier than heck. The battery doesn't last as long though. So far I've been able to play all of my games on it and Netflix movies look great on the HD monitor, better than my HP. Tons of hard drive space, twice as much as what I had before. Keep in min on the 8 GB RAM, only 6.69 GB RAM of that is usable. No biggie, that's still plenty.
For the price, it's a keeper in my book. Love the lighweightness of it, can carry it anywhere in my tote bag with no problem. That's the biggest plus for me. Love it doesnt get hot too!
Would have given it a 5 star if it were touch screen, but it's not.

Horrible..

Horrible.... I've never had so many issues with a new computer. Loved my ancient Lenovo that is over 5 years old but works better than this piece of crap. Had it for 2 weeks now and:
1- battery sucks. Full charge will be dead in morning if not plugged in and closed.
2- pointed freezes constantly. Have to push a button to get it to move again which will undoubtedly select something on the screen.
3 - screen will start flashing and pixelating and going crazy
4 - UPDATES, Oh my the updates. Every time I turn it on I know there will be 15 minutes of updating and then it will restart.
5 - freezes and shuts down the program.
I've done nothing up try basic functions on this POS and it can't handle it... I'm going to get rid of it

Good Laptop with a Great Price

I just got this laptop. Bought it from Best Buy, was cheaper. So far, I love it. Very fast (I use it mostly just for downloading movies from torrents). My sister also has the same one (given to her for college graduation) she loves hers too.

Good laptop!

I love this great lightweight computer. It is fast and efficient and does everything I need it to do. I only have 2 dislikes. It has Nitro Pro 9 software in place of Microsoft Office. Of course it is only a 30 day trial. But I found it very hard to use and ended up purchased Microsoft Office instead. My other dislike is I am not so fond of the keyboard. The keys are kind of hard but you just have to get used to it. Lenovo does a fantastic job with all the software on this laptop. They have a built in solution center that makes it easy to understand the laptop. I would def recommend this laptop!
