I was able to easily trim it down to fit my laptop & used the trimmed off piece above my mousepad area to link the two smaller squares sent with the big one (the "mousepad" protector ones).

The part that's supposed to fit on either side of the track pad, on the inside of the laptop, didn't fit my daughter's device, as the track pad isn't centered on hers. However, we spliced it together and it looks ok. My daughter adores Van Gogh's "Almond Blossoms" so she was delighted to receive this on her bday, to spruce up the laptop she uses for schoolwork. the skin itself is ok. I have a 15.6" laptop the size of this skin didn't cover the whole width of my laptop its probably about 1/4" on each side uncovered. I had a hard time cutting it with scissors maybe a knife and a ruler would of been better tools to cut it. Mine didn't come out as good but it covers for the most part.
