I normally use it as a lap desk for my mouse. It does everything the other adjusting lap tables do but it's lightweight and easy to adjust. I brought it on vacation w/me and I used it as a normal lapdesk w/my mouse pad attachment.

You can be creative w/the legs since they are independently adjustable. This also has another neat feature, it comes w/little rubber stoppers that will hold your iPad onto it and it will let you read it upside down while you are lying down! Very cool! I probably don't use it in as many ways as it can be used. The desk part is metal and the legs are plastic. I feel that it's sturdy but not less cheaply made than the other lap desks out there.

Mine was really well priced and had free shipping.

The reason for the 4 stars is that the legs can be difficult to adjust for some people. You have to push the buttons on the inside of the leg and if you have arthritis or trouble w/dexterity it might be difficult for you.

used it for about 6 months so far, and used it a lot. did all my school stuff (wrote papers, computer programs, and played games while using it) and its held up very well.
PROS: very adjustable. the mouse pad is actually pretty durable.
CONS: it creaks a little when it moves side-to -side.

Great To Get Laptops Off your Kids Laps

Overall it works well The reason I gave it 4 stars is because my kids find it difficult to snap into the different positions on there own to make it even. This can be frustrating it takes some patients to get it just right. I really like the fact that the laptops are not laying on their laps. The slots in the top help prevent the laptop from over heating. We have not used the side mouse pad part so I'm not sure how it should be rated.

Great For After-Surgery Recovery & Late Nights Working

Bought this for my wife while she was recovery from major abdominal surgery, it worked great! She had back issues as well and leaning slumped over in the bed would cause her back to hurt. This elevates the computer up to eye level and she only used a wireless mouse either on the pad or right on the bed. Fully adjustable so she could put it in any position she wanted to and still stretch her legs out infront of her. She still uses it long after surgery on the sofa or working late at night in bed -- no more back issues! No issues with the computers (two different types of laptops) overheating or anything with the vents and being elevated off the soft surface of the bed. Also works great for her tablet, she can literally lay down flat and still use her tablet while watching TV without having to hold it over her. Highly recommended!

Cheap and flimsy

Each leg has three pieces that have to be moved in order to get the stand in place and for me it was a little hard to figure out. Also it's not strong enough or well equipt for a laptop at all! Mine either slides off the front of it because there's not a barrier of any kind in the front to prevent it from sliding. Or if I lay it flat and put the laptop on top of it it can't hold it and places so much pressure on it I think it's going to break.

yeah it's light but that's it, it's flimsy, really small, feels like anything can break it.
Would I buy this again? If it was 15$ maybe. Just maybe.
