I have purchased another AC adapter for my Toshiba Satellite and that one lasted a year. This one lasted 6 weeks. It's a piece of crap and I won't purchase from this seller again. I would recommend purchasing a replacement cord from another seller. This one won't last very long.

cheap and it works

yup- bought it for a L305 and it does the job. The one from the manufacture is very poorly rated and costs a fortune. At this price I'm happy even if it doesn't last for years and years. I think you need to be very sure that you buy a power supply that actually says it works with your model number. It may look close but we're not playing horse shoes here.

If it were possible to give this product negative stars, I would. After being plugged in for a few minutes it began to smoke; then proceed to melt and burned my thumb when I went to unplug it. This is a horribly cheap product that is clearly a fire hazard. DO NOT PURCHASE. It was a waste of money and caused unnecessary stress.

This power supply for my Toshiba Satellite has been a real disappointment. I was strapped for cash at the time, and ordered this one despite my skepticism. It is poorly made and constructed. After owning this for a month, while it was charging my computer just fine, the wires on the adapter into the laptop and the wires coming from the actual power supply block became exposed! I quickly covered them with electrical tape, which eventually loses its stickiness and slips down, exposing the wires further. I have had this for probably only six months and it is now beginning to short out on me. If I move the cord around in various positions, it will sometimes come back to life... until it falls from that position or gets moved. Then it just stops charging. SO, long story short, these are cheap in every sense of the word, but certainly no bargain. I consider a bargain as something that has excellent quality for a low price. This is just bad all the way around. I am glad I didn't pay very much for it because I would be raising all kinds of hell with the sellers right now if I had!!

I bought this to go for a friend's computer (which is a Toshiba Satellite), using the part number on the back of the computer (l305d-s5900). We finally got it- and it works GREAT! The fit between the box and the cord is super tight (it isn't coming out any time soon) and it charges the computer we needed it to. For $5 plus shipping it can't be beat. Provided this is the right kind of adapter for your computer, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Wrong Picture - Great Product

The adapter came in all right, but my main issue with it is that the one pictured is not what I received. That is why my rating is so low. I don't think I deserve the heartattack I had when I opened the packaging and found, after my careful research, that I had been sent the 'wrong one'. It does work, it keeps my laptop charged without having any heat or melting problems. BUT - I cannot stand when something as simple as changing a picture stands in the way of good customer service. Being a CSR myself, this is something that should be corrected immediately. I've docked it 2 stars just for that.
