Bold Description for Such a POS

Sorry to be harsh, but this thing is trash and the manufacturer deserves bankruptcy. Construction is pool, materials are cheap, and the entire package is not worth the price. I've gone through several cases here lately, and I've found that you get what you pay for with these, and that is the truth. Try spending a bit more and you'll be happy that you did. Without dropping product namee here, I spent roughly twice as much and got an AWESOME aluminum briefcase.

By the way. It's sooooooooo not titanium. I don't know if that was put in the description to fool someone or out of stupidity. The case is made of aluminum, and is in no way, shape or form made of titanium. If it were, it probably wouldn't suck this badly. If they are describing color, it's called SILVER.

Not a Quality Case

The Solo 17-inch Business case looks good in the pictures, but is poor quality construction. The side panel material was lose right out of the box and continued to loosen over a short period of time. The side material dents easily and the lid is out of adjustment with very little use. I like the look of the case, but not the quality. My 17.3 inch screen laptop fits perfectly in the case and has more protection than a soft-side bag. I do not recommend this item.

Awesome

Its very sturdy and solid. The locks arent as well made as I would like, but I have high standards for things like that. I had to send the first one back because one lock would no latch at all. Manufacturer random error, it happens. Replacement was perfect.

Remember that this is more about protecting the laptop, not security, the locks wont stop anyone with a large blunt object.

Will fit a 15" notebook if you use the included velcro padded bar. Without the bar, my Dell Studio 17 fits, but *exactly* fits. There is enough room ontop of laptop for power brick (and cords) and maybe a few small items (my non-travel size mouse fits in the height no problem) but not a whole lot of space.

Would recommend for good travel protection, but would pack bulk of accessories in 2nd case/bag. Would take on plane, but not to office every day. You get some awesome looks from people when you carry it (Walk with the right air about you, and people will thing you are super important)

Like some reviews say, and also the spec, its heavy when empty, nearly 8 pounds. Combined with laptop, its got quite a mass to it. Shoulder strap takes care of that. Its awesome if you are not carrying it.

It looks durable, but falls apart in no time.

The panels on the faces are very thin sheets of metal that scar like tin-foil. The springs on the latches stopped working within a few weeks, and the electro-plating on all the corners peels off quickly to reveal it is a cheap brass/steel mixed metal. A vinyl case will last longer, and look better longer. I made a mistake with this one.

Great Case for your Laptop

I purchased two of these for my Laptops. I wanted something that would provide some projection and they work great.
They are stylish, have lots of pockets and room for accessories. It also comes with a hold down strap for the Laptop and a zipper bag that keeps your power cord secure and out of the way.
Although they have locks on them they aren't very secure, but I use these for an extra layer of protection against bumps and impacts.

Works perfectly as a "laptop" case

I have a Surface Pro and a portable scanner. The Surface fits exactly in the padded interior of this briefcase, as does the scanner. There is a padded divider between them, adjustable of course, and a zippered accessory case that holds the Surface power cord and a 4-slot USB hub from Amazon. Add in an external keyboard and a wireless Bluetooth mouse and it's a near-complete road kit.

So far, the aluminum casing has protected the contents perfectly. The cushioning is enough that I don't worry about dropping the case from thigh height, where I'm likely to hold it. The leather work on the interior has a solid feel, no loose threads or gaps. Very happy with my purchase.
