Will fit a 15.6" laptop too

I dont understand why companies that sell laptop bags wont pull out a ruler and measure the laptop space. Guess I could do that but I hope my email and this review give Spigen the incentive to put an intern on that post haste. Bag is as nice as the photos, real compact. Exterior material does feel like it will be resistant to water. I've uploaded some interior shots of the gray bag as that seemed to have slipped their mind as well. It is in bright orange in case you were wondering. I like the gray, it is darker than a 17% gray but could still be used for white balancing in a pinch.

Comfortable, light, and overall the best backpack ever.

I got this backpack a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It's exactly as described. It's slim, and has a ton of pockets for all my things. The reason I bought this backpack was because I was looking for something that would be easier on my back. I've started to have some serious back pains this past year thanks to all my college textbooks, which caused me to buy an iPad so that I could avoid carrying books and notebooks all together. But I was still having problems since I had my laptop in my backpack. This backpack is so comfortable. Not only is it super cushioned in the back, but even when I have a ton of stuff in there, I don't feel it when I'm wearing it! It literally feels like there's nothing in my backpack! I don't understand what witchcraft this is, but it's seriously great technology that they made.

A few things about the design: I think it's the perfect size. It fits my 15 inch Macbook Pro with a case perfectly. I was able to fit my brother's 17 inch laptop into the back pocket, but it was a bit of a stretch, so I wouldn't get this for anything over 15 inches. Someone said that some pockets were missing, but I checked and they're all there. Actually, there are side pockets, similar to water bottle pockets, but they're not big enough to hold water bottles. It's a tight squeeze, so I put my student ID card, keys, and phone in there instead. I also like the headphone straps that are located on the shoulder straps. I didn't think I would originally, but I think they really go well with the side zip pockets that you'll see on the back, where I stick my phone sometimes. Also, I love the fur inside the laptop pocket and the front pocket. I keep my iPad in the front and my laptop in the laptop space, and with the fur, both are cushioned and safe.Read more ›

Very satisfied -- Wears well with suit and tie

For years I used a leather messenger style case, to carry a laptop and papers to work every day. When I changed my laptop from a 10 inch to a 13.3 inch screen, the power supply was larger. The messsenger bag started to be too tight -- without carefully arranging things inside it would look terrible. When loaded and heavy it was uncomfortable.

I decided to upgrade to a 15 inch laptop, and I knew I had to purchase a new bag. I eventually chose this one, solely by reading online reviews (and also watching video reviews -- search youtube). I have now been using this bag for about two months, and I am happy to say I am satisfied with it.

The bag is some sort of plastic, waterproof, but it does not look plastic-shiny. It is very well made and classy, non-cheap looking. I use it while wearing a suit, wears great, and the black color is very discrete and (IMHO) good looking. Inside I can easily fit the 15 inch laptop, and there's room left for lots of other things. Once I was even able to fit basic toiletries, shirts and underwear for a one-night stay in a different city. I would not be able to do that with my previous bag. It is very comfortable to wear, even when loaded with heavy stuff.

There are only two words of warning about it. Number one, it can scratch. -- I never knew where, but something pointy touched its backside, probably while I pulled it out from somwhere. It left a whitish/grey mark across the lower pocket. It didn't rip or anything. It is just a cosmetic mark. But I cannot get it off with water. I guess any bag will eventually get a scratch. It is a pity this one happened in the first month.

Number two, there are so many pockets and zipers and places that you may, very likely, lose things inside the bag.Read more ›

I really wanted to like this backpack

I really wanted to like this backpack, it had so many wonderful reviews, but I would strongly against buying this item.

Let me say that the felt lining inside is superb, it fells good against the screen of your tablet or to put a laptop in. I bought the Spigen to take over from my 5 year-old Swiss army backpack. I had loved my swiss gear backpack but now that I had the Retina 15 inch macbook pro, it seemed a bit bulkish and not as stylish so I decided to buy the Spigen.

First off the quality is not great, I've owned this backpack for only six month and the internal sewing has teared in some parts. But I didn't care for that.

My concern with this bag is laptop protection. The felt lining seduced me to put my Laptop without an additional sleeve. At first it was great, but after 4 moths, the laptop compartment started hanging lower in the backpack (to the point that the laptop would be the first thing to impact the ground when I set the computer down every time). One day I found that my $3,000.00+ computer had a dent on one corner, thanks to Spigen's poor protection. I realized that that every time I set my backpack down, no matter how gentle, I would feel the laptop impact the ground on the same corner.

It is simply not worth it.

Very rarely do I ever write a negative review, but with a product so seductive as this one, I am trying to save your laptop investment by urging you to get another backpack.
