Not an OEM product

The OEM battery for my Compaq laptop computer lasted 4 years. This aftermarket battery lasted only 10 months. The vendor asked for the battery to be returned to Naperville, IL. Once received, they said they couldn't send me a replacement because they were out of stock - instead they credited my account. I am glad to have received my credit but I am out the cost of freight both ways.

I purchased another battery through Amazon. This time I made sure that the picture showed the HP trademark on the battery.

Utter RUBBISH - Lasted Only Three Days!!

This battery is simply crap that lasted three days. Save your money and time and do not buy it! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003E2PXJ4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0. Though purchased through Amazon,it took almost a ten days to arrive. Took the old battery out that was giving only 10 minutes charge and put the new battery in. The batter was already fully charged. The first time I disconnected from the electric charger, the charge lasted almost an hour. However, the next day the battery would not go more than half full. By the end of that day, it was showing ZERO charge despite being constantly plugged in. It has not held a charge since then. Tested it in another computer and got the same thing. I would like to give it zero stars if only they allowed. When sellers take your money you expect a working product, instead they tie up your money on junk products. It is happening way too often on Amazon that people are trying to get away with selling rubbish. At least it was fulfilled by Amazon and there is a decent return policy. I am grateful this battery showed its true colors within days and did not wait to fail me as soon as the 30 day return was up as some of these half-assed products Sellers are knowingly defrauding customers with. Shame on anyone who sells such junk.

Poor replacement battery

when ordered the package arrived on time and early, I plugged in the battery and charged it till it was fully charged, but the battery off the charger only flipping lasts maybe an hour or less... this battery is not worth the little bit of money... I bought a battery from Amazon from another provider and it lasted maybe 3 hours off the charger which was adequate to a normal use of a laptop...

The battery arrived in good condition on time. It works well with my Presario C700.

I also purchased a longer life 12 cell battery from Anker that gives longer life, and great portability to my laptop. If your laptop will recieve heavy use betweeen chargings, this may be a consideration as well.

Little bit of a squeeze

Didn't fit as easily into the C700 as I thought it would. Had to smack it in a couple of times. But I have no plans to take the battery out after that so I am perfectly ok with this product otherwise.

Previously had a battery that didn't even hold a charge, this will do fine.
