A whole lot less expensive than the replacement battery from Dell, and it works great! Now I can carry my laptop around again. Gives me up to 3 hours plus when fully recharged. Not bad for a cheap 6 cell. I held back one star, because the fit in one corner isn't absolutely flush, but sticks up a nano bit. Review update: Worked great for about 3 months. Now it says it's fully charged and after about 5 minutes dies.

Worst experience ever (Battery for Dell Inspiron b130)

These are sub-standard replacement batteries. I have tried two batteries from Tech-Orbits and both of them have failed to live up to the quality that tech- Orbits claims. I have recently sent them two emails trying to get a replacement for the battery that they have already replaced once. I have not gotten a response as of yet. I recently purchased a battery from another merchant and I am very pleased with my purchase. I will never purchase another laptop battery from Tech- Orbits, If you are looking for a good replacement battery for your laptop, I suggest that you look else where. I will just accept the amount that I paid Tech-Orbits for the battery as a lost. it is my opinion that you should stay clear of this merchant.

I ordered the correct item...thought it wouldn't hold a charge...contacted Customer Service via email, heard back from someone immediately, they listened to my problem (battery wouldn't hold a charge)...Customer Service apologized and sent a new one...second battery, same problem...15 minutes of working time after 24 hours of charge time...so I contacted Customer Service again...it was suggested that perhaps something might be wrong with my charger...had to spend a couple of days locating charger that would work on my Dell laptop...finally located one....plugged up the new battery, charged it up...installed it into the laptop...showed a 4+ hour charge, which is probably the maxim...then charged the first batter they had sent...it also charged to the 4+ hours mark...so...I also needed a new Dell charger...with much embarrassment, I shipped the second battery back to these great folks...so sorry that I didn't realize my charger is bad...now I'm deciding if I want to order a new charger for the Dell, I was so disgruntled over the bad battery issue and some other issues I have had with this Dell, I went out and purchased a new Mac...but the Dell has had other issues recently and it is over 5 years old...hmmm...maybe I need to list it on [...] or something! not sure what I will do...currently, it is being a paperweight...I was so amazed at the Customer Service, they not only went above and beyond the usual Customer Service every one else seems to have...this crew is a life saver and they get things done quickly and correctly.

Won't hold a charge after one year

I've had this battery for exactly one year and three weeks and it stopped holding a charge about three months ago.

The laptop works correctly when the battery is taken out and is left plugged in with the AC cord and adapter so that is not the problem.

I've tried taking the battery out, I checked for damage to the prongs, I looked for leakage or connection issues, I even made sure it wasn't an outlet issue. I am horrendously disappointed for the money I spent that this lasted less than a year.

However, it is running hot and I have to periodically unplug from the wall outlet as my laptop starts sending the signal for overheating. I agree with the other reviewer that you get what you pay for.
