I bought this for my 1545. I immediately installed it and it actually had an 81% charge on it! I'm very impressed with the packaging, my battery was very well protected. Laptop Battery for Dell Inspiron 1525

Perfect replacement -- battery fits like a glove, required less than an hour to return the new batt to 100%, the old laptop is now happy and mobile again. RECOMMENDED. (no longer, see below)

ps: check each batt's amp hours (mAh) as not all batts are alike; ie, cheaper is not always better. This is a 5200 mAh, should give great longevity.

Update Sep 2015: this honeymoon was short lived... battery began great (5 stars), but after six months started to lose ability to hold a charge (light usage), and before the end of 1 year would not hold any charge.

Update Oct 2015: can no longer be charged.

NOT RECOMMENDED.

Only some problems!

I have been using this Battery for some weeks and i have noticed two problems:
1-The operating System keep telling me that i need to replace the battery (it's new WTF?) and its like a spam.
2-Sometimes the computer just go and shut down by it self...Happened twice while in a presentation...and keep doing this maybe 1-2 per week.

Do not get it..

Terrible. The battery I received held a charge once for 2 hours. Now my laptop doesn't recognize the battery and I have to keep it plugged into an outlet in order for it to work. I should have just bought a proper replacement instead of trying to cut a corner by purchasing the cheaper version.
