Piece of junk. Don't bother. It all broke apart within a month. so sad. The screws fell out and the fans did too. It because inoperable and therefore trash. So, invest in a GREAT cooling pad. not a cheapie weepy.

The USB doesn't sit securely if you have another USB connected to it. Not sure of the effectiveness of the fans, it maybe psychological. For the price why not.

Nice product....if I didn't have to fix it myself

I purchased this Laptop Buddy Notebook for my PS3, because I saw someone use it to cool their PS3 and add a cool lighting effect underneath the PS3 console ("ground effect").

I actually really like the effect it gives the PS3 console with it's bright blue LED lights, but I'm not sure how well it cools the unit....unfortunately, I just can't tell. I can't put my hand underneath the console while the fans are running to determine the effectiveness of the fans.

I gave this product three stars because I received this product with one of the fans broken off of the main plastic unit. (I think they gave me a used, really beat up one....'cuz I received it in a really worn out looking package) Initially I was furious but decided to just fix it myself by using super glue to put it back together. After doing that, everything was fine with it as the fans and lights functioned properly.

In any case, I think if one can get this product in tact, it is a nice product...at least for PS3 use. Don't know how it would function on a laptop as I could see it being in issue with the fans being exposed. I don't think I would recommend it for laptop use, but is really nice as a PS3 cooling fan and PS3 "ground effects"!

This is the word of the BEAST!!

This is a cheap, poorly made cooling pad. It is three desktop tower cooling fans that normally go inside of a tower just screwed to a plastic board. It does however work in the MOST basic of ways. I have to keep this off of my lap however because it won't let the fans work if I don't have anything between my lap and the "cooling pad".

It heats up pretty fast to the point where you can smell something's burning. Unplugged it and never used it again as it may burn my laptop faster than it can cool it. Seriously, after just 10 minutes of usage, it smelled like wires burning and the fans are burning hot.

Does exactly what it says it will the led light is a cool touch. Kept my laptop lice and cool with no problems at all. Howevver my husband stepped on it by accident one day and it broke. So keep it out of reach of small children and husbands!

Cool cooling pad!

I must have looked at 100 different notebook cooling pads (with fans and without) online before settling on this one. To be honest, the blue lights got my attention. The low price clinched it. I almost changed my mind after reading the reviews regarding the pad arriving damaged or it breaking soon after arrival and the several reviews that mention how the wiring was cheap and the fans gave out. I took the plunge and risked it. Im happy to report so far so good. Number one, this thing looks amazing when its lit up whether its dim in the room or not. I appreciate the pass through on the usb so the pad doesnt tie up a port. The plastic is flimsy but it held a new Toshiba laptop with 15.6 inch screen without a problem. But that ones thin and light. I wanted to challenge it. I dug out my Gateway Vista laptop with the 17 inch screen that makes you sure you're carrying a cement block in your bag when transporting it anywhere. The acrylic pad did give a little under the weight but it held it without a problem. I was rather surprised. Because that laptop was so much bigger than the pad, the effect wasnt as great with the lights but still impressive. The fans are quiet. I barely knew they were running. Do they provide cooling for a laptop? It all depends. I didnt see a difference with the Toshiba but the old Gateway which has always run hot, it did take the internal temp down a few notches. As long as there's at least one or two vents under the laptop, this should provide at least some air circulation to the internals. Certainly more than without any fans.
