Product Description

The computer cable lock has a steel construction and is strong. Will secure any laptop or notebook. Lock is via combination. Cable measures 4 feet long and is 4MM thick.

Please note that will be do our best to ensure that the lock fits most laptop as it is in fact a standard lock. Some brands of laptop make their locking hole slightly different to the standard locking hole that 99.9% of laptops use. This is something a generic device such as our laptop lock can not avoid. This is a list of laptops we are are of that the device does not work on: NOT SUITABLE FOR MACS, DELL LATITUDE, DELL XPS 13, LENOVO THINKPAD, XPS 18 1810 OR GATEWAY NE56R52U (Please note that other customers with Gateway laptops have advised us the lock works fine it's only the model NE56R52U that seems to not work with our lock). Please don't purchase the laptop lock if you have one of these model and if you find the product doesn't work upon purchasing the lock please contact us via Amazon messages.

I am always so paranoid when I am in public places like the library at the local college campus. Yes, even with this new cable lock I am paranoid but not as much.

Its is simple to use once you get the hang of it. When setting it up go through the instructions for use, and on the bottom left hand corner in small letters there is a "number-adjusting rod" this is what you are going to use to set the new combination.. I felt like a cave man tring to figure it out until I saw the tiny text.

once you have the combination figured out, I recommend wrapping it on both a table and chair just in case.. also checkout projectprey it is a free theft recovery software.

With this lock and that software surely you will be secure!

I just got this great laptop lock from Orange Shopping Deals. Simply slip the loop on the end around a table or chair leg to secure it then plug the lock into your computer start button. It simply plugs in and you can turn it to lock it. You can set a combination code so that you can keep it nice and secure. No one will be able to start your computer with the lock in place. If you secure it to something bolted down then they can not remove it. The cable is really thick so it would be difficult to cut (not impossible though). Just keeps your laptop a little more secure. I have a counseling office and I have a laptop that my clients use for testing and to sign up for social service programs. I got this so I can make sure that it is secure in the lobby of the office. It has made me feel a lot safer about leaving the laptop out in the lobby. I have it tied onto a metal bar that is secured to the wall. It works great and gives me some security. I received this item complimentary or at a reduced price for my honest review. However, I only recommend products I truly love and use to my readers. #AmazonReview

Peace of mind when I have to leave my laptop in a hotel

I like to take my laptop along when we travel but I usually leave it a home because I don’t want it to disappear when we leave our hotel room. With this Laptop Cable Lock from Orange Shopping Deals, I can take my laptop & not have to worry.
This is a 4 foot long cable so it is easily long enough to attach to a desk. The cable is thick & sturdy with a combination lock that is easy to set. As long as the lock is in place, no one will be able to start your computer.
When we travel & I leave my laptop in our hotel room, I attach it to my largest suitcase with our travel lock. If someone wants to take my computer, they have to haul along a huge suitcase that I removed the handle from & then try to figure out our combination code to access the computer.
I love the peace of mind that this Laptop Cable Lock provides & it’s a small amount to spend in order to protect a much larger investment. I recommend this product!

This is a really nice lock to have for anyone with a laptop. It's a very sturdy and secure lock that's easy to use. It fits my laptop perfectly. The 6ft. cable is thick and the combination was easy to set. This lock comes in really handy for me. I take my laptop to work. I work in an huge open pediatric office where patients can pretty much walk around. Our office is unique because of the 'open concept' but we have had some problems in the past with items being taken. It doesn't happen often but this lock is a nice way to make sure that my laptop is secure if I'm away from my desk. It's much more affordable than replacing a stolen laptop. It's also nice when traveling. I have a son with medical problems and we often are out of town at appointments or admissions. computer security for home or office

For safety and security, my husband wanted a laptop cable lock for his home computer. When we travel, it is nice to know that our home computers have another level of protection. This cable is easy to attach to the computer and to another secure item in our home. This system helps to delay anyone from taking the computer quickly. The lock does not require keys, as this is a combination lock. This cable is 6 feet long which allows for easy placement and options for various locations in a home or office.

Directions are included on the package for choosing a combination and setting the lock. The lock is silver and coordinates with most styles of computers. The cable itself is very sturdy and would not be easily cut or broken. Also, there is a nice loop for securing the computer to our heavy office desk.
