It Works, and It is a Good Value.

This PWR+ 12V adapter has both a red LED power indicator on the plug and a green power indicator on the body of the charger, which was handy, as the power end didn't want to stay put in the AA airline power connector until I gave it a hard push. The red connector was buried under the seat, but I could see the green. It works fine in my car, so I assume the problem is with the under-seat power connector on AA. I use it with my Dell Studio 1526 and my wife's Dell 1525, and it works perfectly with both. The cable from the charger to the tip of the 12V end is 24" long, and the cable to the computer is about 46" long. Both cables are a suitable weight and adequately flexible. Having this device allows my wife to work in the car on long trips or for long flights. I use it to charge my laptop when traveling, so I can work unplugged when I stop at Starbucks, and on the airplane, usually to watch movies.

12V car charger for Dell laptops

I was going on a car trip and had just bought a GPS unit for my Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop along with the Delorme Street Atlas software. Since I was going to use my laptop as my GPS navigator it would have to be on all the time, so I needed a way to keep the battery charged in the car. I there for purchased the PWR+ charger from Amazon.

The first thing that stuck me about the charger was that it looked almost exactly like the OEM AC charger that came with the laptop. Instead of a AC plug on one end, it had a cigarette lighter/power socket adapter. It has the exact same voltage and wattage output as the AC version. The quality of the workmanship was heads above all the other adapters I looked at on the web, but it only cost a few dollars more. I used it for many hours at a time for several days and it performed flawlessly.

This was well worth the money.
