Very capable auto adapter for E5510

I was able to test this unit on my latest 1000-mile road-trip. The unit is nicely compact, has a very secure velcro strap and a sturdy 12V plug.

One standout feature on this model that I noticed: the 12V plug has a red LED indicator to let you know the connection is secure and is receiving current, a very convenient detail.

Unit was tested in a Toyota Sierra minivan. Cords were long enough to allow laptop usage in the middle row of seats, using the dashboard-located power outlets. Laptop used was a Latitude E5510. The Pwr+ charger was able to charge the battery and provide full wattage to the laptop with NO error or warning messages about insufficient or unrecognized power sources.

In total, the minivan was able to serve this adapter, and a second adapter (two kids, two laptops, go figure) with no issues.

Shipped free and on time (just in time for the holiday trip). Amazon came through for me.

Dell ATG E 6400 car power supply

Love Pwr+ adapters

At our company we have a street sales team of about 40, all with Dell laptops, all with auto chargers. About two years ago Dell changed their adapter style, and the adapters we were receiving would just fall apart at the seams. After getting quite a few replaced we started shopping for a replacement.

Works As Advertised!

My wife works in home healthcare and needed a way to keep her laptop charged in her van on her daily rounds. Initially she tried using an AC/DC converter to power her home charger in the van but she kept coming into the house and leaving her home adapter in the car. Not only that, but the old converter had a noisy fan as well that was very annoying!

It gets the job done!

I got this charger so I could keep my (ancient) Laptop computer charged and operating while I am out traveling around the country. It is there, ready to use, whenever the need arises. My only concern and it is not really a big one, is that this unit does get quite warm...almost hot...if left confined in an enclosed environment such as the center console of a vehicle, while charging.

Just what I needed.

We noticed that the charger has a nice tight fit where it plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car (which is a good thing), but you need to give it a very firm push to connect correctly. My little granddaughter doesn't have the strength. My advice is that an adult should supervise if you want to keep your laptop charging properly. We're still happy with our purchase.
